Cellulite and the pill

Hi, im 21 years old, size 8 and 7 & a half stone. im pretty healthy and go to the gym twice a week, yet i have really bad cellulite. my mother is 55 years old and mine is worse than hers. i dont drink or smoke, but am on the pill "yasmin" for the last 3 years and am just wondering if this could be the problem. please help as this is really getting me down.

....yep! I've been on yasmin for quite few years and i've gained a lot of weight I can't get rid off....Considering swap to a new pill...

I'm 23, 5'3", 9st 4 and I also go to the gym twice a week and eat healthily most of the time.
Your post is really interesting as I am also on Yasmin and my cellulite is absolutely awful! All over my bum and the back of my thighs. It never used to be that bad. Now I'm wondering if it's Yasmin and I'm definately changing my pill. I'm going to go back to Dianette.
I think that Yasmin has made me put on weight too. I'm 10 lbs heavier than I was when I was on Dianette and can't seem to shift it.
I've also suffered from breakthrough bleeding a lot...

I'm hoping my cellulite will get better after I change!

The pill has strong negative effects on cellulite. And Yasmin in particular causes a lot of "swelling" (sometimes is good for breast but usually not for thighs and bum. But even other pills make the same effect. I have been on Mercilon for 5 years, and my cellulite has slowly increased until... I can't wear my favoutite pair of blue jeans!
