Hihi
I think I can share my experience to you.
I am acne skin type. Acnes were always on my face every summer since I was 19 years old!
The most horrible thing was, they were not on my whole face (except eye lid and nose) but also on my neck.
I changed a lot of skin-cares but I found the main problem was cleaning and hydrating!
In my experience, don't trust the skin-cares which are claimed for acne skin type without evidence-based! I switched a lot of acne products from popular brands. All of them were rubbish and made my skin dry and peel.
The gentle cleanser is very important. It should be mild, cleaning but never make your skin dry. I used the Aquanil cleanser. I don't know it is sold in UK or not. But it is not difficult to find another mild cleanser in market such as Cetaphil.
I also used Glyderm lotion product which contained glycolic acid. I had done a lot of research about this product. It was cheap and effective from most of reviews. But it might be a little dry for dry skin type. It is better to put light moisturizer after that!
All scrubs/masks/treatment should be stopped before your skin get better.
At last, I know the main reason of my acne, the acne would come out when my skin becomes dry!
Fruits and water are important to maintain skin condition and constipation. Try to intake much more!
Hope you get better!
