| Thread started by: | "What age too old for long hair?" Posted by alysonteapot 14 July at 17:16
Ok, I;m just nearer 60 than 50 and have had really long fair hair, no fringe, since my teens and need advice on getting a Bob! I think I like my hair long, it's in fairly good condition, highlited and I have different ways of wearing it. I always tie it back or wear it up for work as I work with small children and one of my concerns is if I had it short would I be tucking it behind my ears if it bothered me falling round my face! It's dead straight and falls past my bra strap so this would be a brave step, so I need advice too about how to find a good cutter in my area, short of stopping women and asking where they got their hair cut as I've not seen anyone locally with a style I really admired, though I would go anywhere in Nottinghamshire on a recommendation. My friends are all 50% should I have it cut though my man is very encouraging to get it done, offerin to pay for it!! My son is getting married THIS Fri and if I dont get it done NOW I think i will put it off till I am in an old folks home hence this plea for your thoughts, all contibutions welcome! Alyson

I don't think the old adage is relevant anymore, however if you don't ever really wear your long hair down it's probably time for a change. BUT not a drastic change for your son's wedding though because you have left it too late for you and everyone else to get used to it.. remember, those photographs are going to last for a very very long time and just imagine if you absolutely hate your new look!
