Dying blonde after sun-in

Hi, just wondered if anyone could help me...
I am naturally very blonde but my hair goes dark blonde and then very light again with the seasons so last winter i tried sun-in,the mildest kind, after someone recommended it to me. Because i am blonde anyway the sun-in made my hair the colour it normally goes when i go on holiday but since then i've heard from so many people how it is damaging to your hair so i stopped using it.
Anyway, now, with winter coming round again i was thinking of getting some highlights done professionally but dont know if i can do this as the bleach from the sun-in is still on part of my hair from last year! Is it possible to dye over it or should i just wait until it grows out?!
I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows anything about this as i really don't want my hair to go green or anything!! thanks x x

Life after sun-in

Hi there

Yes you can go and have highlights over the sun-in just mention it to the colourist but be prepared for a 'telling off' all hairdressers hate the stuff as it's so damaging.

Don't worry about green hair as that's usually a reaction to chlorine (swimming pools) on blonde (coloured) hair and can be rectified by putting tomato ketchup (yes, really)on your hair to neutralise the effect!

I'm a highlighted blonde - on top of sun-in and I've been in swimming pools and my hair's fine, just make sure you have it regularly trimmed and you'll be ok

R xx

Highlights

Hi, thanks a lot for ur advice!! im not as nervous now! Do u know if its the same case for semi permanent or permanent shop bought dyes? or will the sun-in react? thanks x x
