hair extensions

Hi everyone,

I am looking into doing a hair extension course to become a mobile extensionist.

I just wondered how many girls would be interested in having extensions put in, and how popular it actually is. From personal experience I love them, and would love to have them put in no matter what the economic climate throws at me!! Ha ha

I would specialise in the micro ring and fusion methods, which both last for around 4 months and I would charge around £200 for a full head.

What do you think?

Thank You in advance for your replies x

Worth it?

Hi There

It sounds like a good idea, although one thing you have to consider is after paying for the course and buying all the necessary equipment, will it be worth it?
I am in the hairdressing industry and i do hair extensions in my salon, but to be honest, most clients these days say they wouldnt have them put in the main reason being they can buy clip in ones that are cheaper from the shops and they get the same benefit from having long hair, but can also take them out and wash there own hair properly and not have the risk of breakage when they come out.

Just a point to consider when paying all that money and then your customers go and buy clip in ones instead!!

Hope this helps

xx

Absolutely not

Hi there,

Sorry, but I wouldn't get it done. I used to have extensions, they were done professionally in a salon and cost £ 100.00 for the full head plus £ 10.00 every month or so for maintenance. The main reason why I stopped having them was because of the constant need for maintenance and because I didn't have the time to keep going back to the salon.
To be honest, I would not trust a mobile extentionist to do a good job. I'm not saying that you wouldn't do a good just, all I am saying is that I would be too cautious to contact you, if I saw your advert in the paper.

You may want to come up with some strategies to gain people's trust.

Hope this helps.

Why not

In my opinnion, you will lose nothing by trying, because you will always have some customers, just dont give up, in fact it can be like a part time job for you; while you do something else, and in the time you will build more trust from your clients.

I can understand the opinion of others but, this days, we still have people doing their hair by professional.

Hope this help
