Anyone used philip kingsley elasticizer or recommend alternative?

Hi everyone,
I'm new here, so hope I'm putting this in the right place! I was just wondering if anyone has used Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer and if so, was it any good? I have long, thick, coloured hair, which is quite damaged at the ends and I keep seeing this on QVC and it sounds great, but I'm a bit wary of forking out £18 on something that may be all just hype!
If anyone could recommend an alternative deep conditioning treatment instead, that would be great - ideally I don't want to spend over £20 and the cheaper the better!
Thanks

Philip kingsley is a god!!

Hi.

Elaticizer is the most amazing product! It's worth every penny. I have very dry, coloured hair, and suffer with what look like split ends but are not, think it's just the natural texture of my slightly coarse, wavy hair. If I use Elaticiser 2-3 times a week my hair is as sleek as a pin, with no unruly strands randomly sticking out! I am a big fan of Philip Kingsley. In my opinion, money spent on products developed by a Trichologist is money well spent, over spending money on commercially-made products by non-hair experts. His shampoo and conditioner range are also brilliant. I use the moisture balance products. I had the 250ml sizes for Christmas, wash my hair every other day and still have plenty left! You don't need much product, it's more about technique. So even though you pay about £13 for a shampoo, used correctly it should last you a fair while. But seriously, try Elasticizer for a couple of weeks - you'll be glad you did! I am sure you can buy the sachets on the PK site, that may be better for you to start with. Just checked, 20ml sachet for £3.20. Or try Ebay, as these sachets often come in the kits sold on QVC and end up on there! http://www.philipkingsley.com/index.php
