Help i have big ginger roots!!!

i have always went to the hairdressers and got a full head of blonde foil highlights. my roots had started to come in badly and were quite dark so i decided to try nice n easy light blonde on it.

it worked well on everything but my roots which have now turned a light but very much noticable orange colour! i know now it was because of how dark my roots were. i bought the same dye again and tried it again the next day, concentrating on my roots but it didnt make much difference.

now i dont know what to do! i have really orange hair on top and really blonde the rest of it.

my hair is straight med/long (about 2 inches below my shoulders)

Hi

i know this predicament well. you have a few options:

1. wait it out and it will become less 'hot' as it dulls then it will go lighter when you do your roots again

2. get some blue shampoo - it takes the hotness out (and is fun to use lol) you can get it from superdrug for 99p

3. bleach it again - i have found the strongest boxed bleach is swartzkopf live (untimate platinum 00A?) with this option you are likely to get a burned head so bear in mind it may be painful when its on. leave it on for an hour.

when you choose a blonde colour and dont want any orange in it make sure u go for anything with 'ASH' or 'COOL' rather than 'warm' or 'golden'

hth - let me know if youve got any more questions x

Heyy

thanks for your reply

i was thinking about just buying another box and trying my roots again. i will look our for the swartzkroft live one your talking about. i think i have seen them before. somebody also suggested jerome russell b blonde. what do you think of that one? i think i am going to go buy one tonight. cant stand this much longer lol

ps. the orange is a quite a light orange

Howd it go?

never used b blonde tbh so i dont know. the Live colours are good and 'born blonde lightener' from Clairol is very good for getting dark hair light.

if it is quite a light orange i would say it is best to live with it as long as you can and then when you next do your roots go over it a little bit - and use one of the bleachs ive recommended (if you want! lol)

x
