Prom- hair extensions?

I've been trying to hard to grow my hair out for about 2 years now. I had previously dyed, highlighted, relaxed, etc so frequently that my hair became very damaged and would break off at the ends and not grow at all.

Prom is right around the corner and I have a beautiful strapless dress, however I am not in any way comfortable in wearing my hair up. I have found many many down and curly hair styles that I love which would look beautiful. However my hair has only reached an inch or so past my shoulders, and when curled it will be very short.

So I thought about getting extensions, but I don't want them forever. Can someone help me out? Is it possible to buy the extensions and bring them in the day of my hair appointment and just have them put in and styled and then I can just take them out afterwards?

I would really appreciate any help I can get. This is my last prom ever, my senior prom and I really just want everything to be perfect.

Clip in hair extensions! They're perfect, you just clip them in and take them out as you please! I could never wear extensions all day, everyday so I just wear them for special occasions. I got a full head set from http://www.headkandy.com , they're so easy to use!

Hair extensions

You can buy clip in extensions. I bought some from selfridges (about £90, I think) and asked my hairdresser to cut and style them for me. They looked great and you couldn't tell they were extensions. They also last for ages if you take care of them.
