Hair colouring

hi,

can anybody help me? i have my hair highlighted at the hairdressers but its getting a bit expensive can i use a hair dye from the supermarket (loreal or another brand) or will it react with the colour thats already on and turn it green or something?

any advice? xx

As a hairdresser.................do not use colours from shops, as they contain metallic salts, which will react with professional colours, also if u ever want to colour yur hair at a salon again u may not be able to!! my sugestion is to pick a colour closes to your natural colour, which wil give shine and body, therefore when ur roots grow in they wont be as noticeable which means..... u will not feel the need to go to the salon so often which is good for ur bank balance and ur hair as it is no bein damaged so frequently!!
