Very damaged hair help!!!

Hi, im 20 and my hair is sooooo damaged! I know iv brought it on myself as ive dyed it so much, My hair is naturally brown, and iv dyed it black, blonde streaks, red streaks, hilights, all over blonde, dark brown, and its currently red but as soon as i dye it the colour comes out after like 2 washes! So its quite a washed out colour! Its so dead from dying it blonde for about a year! It was brown underneath so its not as dead ther, but the top half is all snapped off about 3inches shorter! Plus its soooooo frizzy so i have to straighten it all the time!

Does anyone know a really good deep conditioner that will actually work?? or anything else! Iv tryed aussie 3minute miracle, tresemme salon silk deep conditioner, loreal elvive anti breakage serum, frizz eaze serum! none work!!! and now ive got tigi catwalk intense reconstructive conditioner, it is a bit softer but still snapping and frizzy!

Please help if you know anything that will help! or that really works!

Done the same..

Hi, I did similar kind of over processing to my hair for years, with bleaching and straightening etc. and it got into really awful and dry state so I know how you feel... I've been using Snövik 21 Forever products for half a year now, they are salon products specially designed for over processed and colour treated hair. The range has deep moisturising shampoo and conditioner which are really smoothing and moisturising, and a range of really good heat protecting products.. I've been using them for about six months now and I can honestly say that they work, I've lost that awful frizziness and tangles from my hair and it doesn't look like a bird's nest anymore, and it actually shines again

If I was you, I would definitely have a go with those, and use heat protecting products when ever you blow-dry or straighten your hair, straightening really doesn't help at that stage without protecting products! I think the last option is to cut your hair shorter to get rid of the dry stuff, or at least trimming your hair would help the situation.. I buy Snövik products from the online store at www.snovik.com, they are a little bit more expensive, but I haven't regretted

Protein!

I have done something similar so i feel really sorry for you! i dyed my hair black then went back to blonde and it was in such bad condition. you need something that is a repair treatment with high protein - I use one call CAT its qutie expensive but worth it. You can also make your own mask using olive oil and honey which is also really really good, i guess it feed nutrients in the hair. Good luck with it all!

Had same problem

Died it black 5 years then bleached to white then red, black and bleached again my problem was it was too dry and overlappig of bleach when you get your roots done snaps the hair from over processing. Only thing that saved mine because it was snapping off all over the place like handfuls of the stuff:

Wicked awesome hair dresser gave me some science advice, snapping hair is high in proteins and lipids but dehydrated, avoid colour depositing shampoos and high protein conditioners. Ones I tried and helped:

Bin or hide your straighteners they make it seriously worse, it might feel nice straight but its drying it out.

Redken Deep Fuel half tube once a week it rebuilds and repairs
John Frieda Reinforce Strengthening Triple Creme Masque: Overnight conditioning

Hope that helps sweets xx

Redken seems to be good

i got told the same thing by my hairdresser today so bought some redken too. the things we doo to our hair!!!!

Hi

you need I treatment conditioner, Im a hairdresser and where I usto work we used a treatment called 'plasmo' all you do is put it on your hair, leave it for 10-15 mins and wash it off! Its amazing and it will really condition your hair! also use some protection when straightening yr hair and it wont be as frizzy xx

I know just the thing!

You need to try Kerastase, there's loads of different formulations - I'd use Bain satin no. 3 and theres a cream that you put in before blow drying/heat styling that is activated by heat and turns your hair to silk, its fabulous!! Go to a salon that does it or go to their website, have a look and get some on ebay! You wont be disappointed - Its quite expensive - 12-13 quid for a bottle of shampoo, but it lasts for ages. I've been using it for years and I colour and straighten my hair loads - its really long too.
Hope this helps!

Very damaged hair help!!!

Hay, Iv been a avon reep for a year now, And i find that the avon shampoo and conditioner works wonders on my hair. Im the same constantly dyeing it but my hair has never felt so soft and silky. Or maybe even a hair mask. There so simple and if you find the right one it does an amazing job! And when you straightern your hair try using heat protection if you dont already, it might help that little bit more.

Many thanks
Leanne
