Straight *burned* hair!!! - two questions

Hi! I just found this website today and I find it very interesting I hope you understand my english, I'm not a good speaker!

I have a VERY culry hair, and I use a Ceramic Hair Straightener (babyliss) and something like this http://shinymedia.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/b-eliss.jpg (I dont know how it's called in english so sorry...) to get it straight.

I do this almost everyday, and my hair is very ruined because of that.

So, my first question is:

- Should I stop it or else I'll have no hair in the next years?

- Do you have any tips for my curls? I know this is very hard to ask because you've never seen my hair, but maybe you know something I can do to stop hating my hair, lol!

Thanks!

Same problem

I have VERY curly hair as well and ended up ruining it with all the straightening I did to it.
So, for about half a year, I didn't touch my hair, at all. A great sacrifice, yes, but it's better than having no hair at all!
Then, when it was getting back to as 'normal' as it could be, I went and got it permenantly straightened. Be warned! this does not make it super sleek like you want it to be. After you wash it the first time, it comes out sorta wavyish, meaning you still have to straighten it, but, you won't spend upwards of an hour doing so. In fact, my hair only takes about 20 minutes to straighten now.
For right now, you may want to invest in some vitamins, maybe prenatal vitamins [they work wonders for your hair and skin!]and use extra virgin olive oil on your hair.
As for your curls, I use Pantene Pro V leave-in comb-in treatment for curls. You just wait til your hair is dryish, and rub/scrunch it in, so you keep your curls in that shape all day. I think short, curly hair looks cute! Especially when it's looser curls or really tight curls!
Also, here's a site specifically for us curly haired girls: http://www.naturallycurly.com/index.php
Good luck, hope I was helpful!

Stop using the straighteners

Unless you want to completely ruin your hair, I would recommend stopping using the straighteners. It would be a better idea to go to a hair salon and ask the advise of a professional hair dresser. There might be a treatment they can do on your hair to relax the curls. They might know of a product you can also use to improve the condition of your hair after using the straighteners for so long.
I hope you sort it out as I think our hair is our crown and if your happy with it, it makes you shine.
