New hair cut/ colour suggestions wanted

Hello!

Im new on here, so a big hello to everyone!

I am hoping for some suggestions for a new haircut and colour. For years i have had the same long brown hair with long layers. Sometimes i have blond highlights through the top with side fringe to add interest! Thats as adventurous as i have got lol I want to try something new, but i really dont know what would suit me. Whenever i have been to the hairdressers they never suggest anything and basically leave it up to me, and i stick to the same style i have always had! I have been told i have an oval face, and cool skintone. I have blue eyes and i am naturally a mid to dark brown hair colour. Currently my hair length is the middle of my back. I really dont want to go too short as i am not brave enough to go from very long to short! I look forward to your suggestions. Ps i forgot to mention, i would like advice on haircolour too! I will private message a picture also if this would help.

Many thanks

xx

Why not try a medium length bob hairstyle?

I have had the same hairstyle for years too -- long with layers. I was really sick of all the layers.

Why not try a medium length bob hairstyle--all one length with a few side bangs. If you want something that looks really different, try an inverted bob, somewhat like Gwyneth Paltrow (see link below)

When I went with the medium length hairstyle, I asked my stylist to thin my hair out quite a bit. I had to add the layers to my long hairstyle because my hair is so thick. Thinning out my hair a bit really helped after going to one length.

I am so happy to be rid of those layers. I don't know about you, but for me the layers added lots of styling time every day. Very troublesome.
