Is the bob old fashioned?

I want a new style. I have had long hair with layers forever but don't want to go short. I have found a style on here I liked. 80's style, blonde with full fringe and thick, chunky framing round face. I have a fringe already which going to keep. Thinking maybe a long bob at front anyway, maybe asseymetrical?

A modern classic

hmmmm... I guess some bobs are old fashioned... On the other hand you could thing about hair-length and lines in the same way as hemlines

The basic bob length, anything between shoulder and mid-ear can be adapted to suit just about anybody and it seems to be adapted and tweaked for each decade. I have had a fair few variations myself!

The best advice would be to go to a hairdresser that you trust - A good stylist will assess your face shape and tailor something for you and also be aware of the latest trends... I always say that if you see someone on the street with a cool haircut, run up to them and as where they had it done most people dont mind as is a kind of complement.

Asymmetric bobs with shattered interior layering are really in right now... so if you fancy it at least you'll be on-trend

Good luck... and don't forget to let us know how you get on

Hi

No bobs are not old fashioned, there are so many kinds of styles for the bob, just get loads of hair magazines and have a look, i have a short bob, want to go shorter.
