Yuko hair straightening system

Hi,
Has anyone tried the YUKO Hair straightening System?
How effective was it?
I am really interested in getting this done as I have thick wavy hair and I spend hours blow-drying it and straightening it with irons. However, it's going to cost me £250 so I want to find out if anyone has tried it and what the results are like.
Thanks

Never go there!

Hi,

I hac already 5 yuko straightening and I can tell you the result is really amazing.

However my last experience was a desaster.
I went to fiz makeup, never ever go there.
When I arrived the so called salon was the flat of the lady, where she had to take care of a 2 years old child while doing my yuko...

Then at the end she asked me 40 pounds more than what she told me before, because my hairs where 'difficult' (???) and she threatend to call her husband if I did not pay,

I am sure she did not use the yuko products as she said (as I told you I had 5 yukos so I know what I am talking about) and today my hairs are a nightmare, totaly burned and even curlier than before,
I have an appointment tonight with a real hairdresser to cut them short because there is nothing else I can do.

When I called her to ask what I could do and if she could at least give me half of my money back she insulted me, I had to change my phone number to stop receiving her insults.

So find a good salon, pay the price (I know it is expensive but it is woth it) and NEVER try fiz makeup.

Be carefull

i had it done 2 years ago and would never do it again. i research my salons and ended up paying £600! for hair just below my sholders! i thought this ment i was getting the best

if i left my hair to dry naturally it dried with a wave and fuzz, so i had to straighten it again. the worst thing was it destroyed my hair so i had to have about 4 inches cut out. the ends literally shriveled up and fell off. it was well looked after hair as well!

i've also had cheaper systems applied to me hair,. none of which have worked. sorry to be negative but in my desperation to get sleek sexy hair i ended up with straw! be careful.

Hi ,

I've had it done twice!

My hair is like you have described yours. I say it's well worth the money and the time you'll save in not having to blow dry your hair
Make sure you check for reviews of the place your having it done. I did it in a small local salon and the results were not that great. I had it done several times at a reputable salon and the results were amazing.

A tip
you can register as a model at the yuko salon and have it done a lot cheaper.

Yuko

Mind was nearer £500 so bare in mind if you have thicker/longer hair it will cost more! I had mines done last year and was very happy with the results only thing was after first having it done I was told to sleep sitting up (this is impossible) so was abit put out by that.
I still ended up straighten my hair but that was only because I like it POKER straight! YUKO just ment it didnt take as long to do and stayed straighter longer.
I would say mine lasted for around 10 months which isnt bad although I havent had it re-done as I wanted to dye my hair and also couldnt afford £500 every year (damn credit crunch!!!)
Good luck tho hopes this helps abit!

Go for it!

Yes - I've had my hair straightened with the Yuko system. It's amazing! My hair was like yours - thick and wavy and very frizzy when it rains or is damp outside. It took me forever to dry and straighten everyday. I am so thankful that my friend told me about Yuko. I did my research and found a brilliant woman who was trained by the founder of the system. She has been doing it for many years so I was comfortable that she knew what she was doing! It isn't cheap, but I made a great choice - my hair is so wonderfully easy to take care of now! It's so soft, straight and silky no matter what the weather is outside. Don't let the cost stop you - just do your research and find someone who is reputable and knows what they are doing.

Go for it - you won't be disappointed!

PS - If you're interested I went to Renata at www.hairstraighteninglondon.co m. I wholeheartedly recommend her!

Hi

I got this treatment done in January, it cost me £435 for my longer than shoulder length hair, thought it was too expensive & although the girl who did it was lovely, she did not do a good job, it was quite wavy after. I complained & she re-did some of it but there was no discernable difference. Saying that my hair is frizz free & smooth & I now wash it, let it dry naturally & put some serum in it & it looks fine.
I think I had a bad experience with the salon I chose but it is hard to find people to do it up here. I asked the girl who did it how long the training was, when she told me it was 1 day I must admit I thought it would have been longer. I will definitely get this done again but will do my research next time as I felt like a complete chump paying all that money not to be completely happy.
I would say go for it but make sure it is a reputable salon & agree the price beforehand.
