| Thread started by: | "What best laser or ipl?" Posted by linzi29 17 May at 14:17
Hi, im hoping someone can help! I have had a facial hair problem for some time and now I have decided it's time to do something about it has really affected my self confidence.Im also getting married later this year! I have had a consultation for laser treatment with the harley medical group, I have come away feeling a little unsure. The clinic is a long way for me to travel soI have tried to find somewhere closer. I have found a clinic closer to where I live that I have never heard of that offers IPL hair removal but after doing some research I am unsure whats best laser or IPL! I would appreciate any info if any of you have had any experience with laser or IPL. Thanks Linzi

Dear Linzi,
I might be a late with my response, but I have had both laser and IPL. Laser treatments take longer than IPL, but with laser I have had 3 treatments only for my lower legs, and 80% of my rough and thick hair is now gone. It is also more painful, than IPL. I tried IPL in skingenesis at Leeds, and found myself fooled and professionally bullied. The nurse treated my arms, chest and back, but not a single hair fell. I had paid for 6 package treatments in advance and felt no difference after the first treatment, as my hair was following its normal pattern of growing. The nurse assures me, that the hair does not necessarily fall after the first treatment o_O, which is bullshit. My advice would be choosing laser treatment. I could advise you which clinic, but don't want to advertise here. Write me a PM, if you are still interested and I'll give you the details.

Laser and IPL can both effectively achieve permnent hair reduction. It all depends on the type of skin you have and also the type of hair to be removed as different treatment systems work on different hair and skin types in different ways. If you feel unsure after your first consultation you can always try another consultation elsewhere and decide after that. Always make sure that the clinic is registered with the helthcare commission in England or Healthcare Inspectorate Wales.

You should search for some information on the internet or go straight to saloon and ask there. As far as I know laser may harm your skin. of course it depends on your skin and hair tone, but before taking some action ask professionals.
