I want to start using a home laser hair removal system and was wondering if anyone can recomend anything. I have a light/medium skin tone with dark hair, which I've found from research is the best combination for succesful hair removal. I have a lot of dark/thick hair on my face and this is the area I want to concentrate on first before moving onto legs and bikini line. I've looked on the internet to research what the best to buy would be and thought asking people who have had experience with this could help me the most. Thank you for any input or advice, its much appreciated.

I think the Rio scanning one is supposed to be the best (it's also expensive). I have the small Rio and it does work, but you can only zap individual hairs so it takes forever. Worked on my toes though. I would recommend going to a beautician to for facial hair removal though. I was so embarrassed about mine that it took me years to work up the courage to go. I went for the first time 2 weeks ago and I shouldn't have waited so long. You need several treatments but it's worked so well thus far!

If you have darker skin it is best to see a pro for laser hair removal. Though the best candidates for laser hair removal are light skinned folks with dark coarse hair, the pros can safely and effectively treat clients with all skin tones.
