"Epilators: experiences?"

Has anyone got any experience with epilators? I'm thinking of investing in one but wanted to find out how other girls got on with them first, none of my friends have been brave enough to try them!

In one word: pain! But you get used to it... eventually!

They are painful at first but you definately get used to it and its no worse than waxing!

I'd recommend the Philips Ice Epilator http://www.epilatorshop.co.uk/product.php?item=3
It has a Ice pack that you attach onto the epilator to help minimise the pain!
"Go for it!"

Hey!
I've used one for a few years now & would definitely recommend it over shaving!!

I use mine mainly - and very bravely - for my underarms, (occasionally my legs too) as I can't stand stubble!! Also my hair grows very fast so I end up with a 'shadow' under my armpits not long after I've shaved!! Nice.
I'll be honest, it really does hurt when you first start using it, esp on underarms not so much on legs, but bear with it because when your skin has gotten used to it you'll start to find it doesn't hurt at all. And it lasts for weeks, I wouldn't say 6 weeks as advertised, more like a couple of weeks but that would depend on how quickly your hair grows & how thick it is etc!!
