Laser hair removal
Hi J,
As mentioned by others before laser hair removal is highly recommended for a permanent reduction in growth. I have had treatment in the past on a different area and it really has helped.
I went to SK:N clinics for my treatments - they're quite a large company so I thought I'd rather go with someone that is more widespread. Make sure the place you go with uses Class 4 lasers instead of IPL. My therapist told me that IPL is very similar to class 4 but IPL is not as effective as the results are random. SK:N uses class 4 lasers by the way. I know this as I was rather inquisitive with the practitioner at the consultation lol.
It's worth taking a look on the site. There's a bit of info there too.
I hope this helps

Another voice in the night.
Speaking as a penis-enhanced American, I would just like to chime in and tell you all that being oiled up in a sauna by three sets of hairy-nippled English female triplets is a big fantasy of mine. SO don't get rid of that hair--get yourself a couple of chicks that look just like you and come to my house. I have the vodka and the sauna. You bring the oil. And maybe some ice cubes.

Nipple hair (scared)
Hi Im 13 about to turn 14 i've been dealing with this problem since i turned 12 im really scared to tell my mom and what i've been reading here its feeling more akward i Dont know how to tell my mom plus i think it is to private to tell any one and i havent plucked or shaved there becuase i know its bad but i've seem to have to much hair there and i really dont know what to do If any one can help Thanks. And would it get worse if i dont do anything?

Omg im the same!!!
i have that exact same problem. i started to pluck mine but they got worse so every now and them i bleach them even though its just as bad. i have a light skin colour and really dark hairs all over my body - its quite embarrasing
things have recently started to get better tho, i have looked up on pernimant hair reduction - when they say reduction they actually mean it goes away forever!!! from reading reviews on the new BOOTS PULSED LIGHT HAIR REDUCTION in the shop 'boots' i feel confident that it will work and am buying it in september as a present for myself with my birthday money. it is pricey (£245.99 - £299.99) but it will be worth it for eventually no hair on my body.
if you just have hair around your nipples, in boots there are at home electroysis packages without the needles which i would recomend for you.
i havent told my mum and dont plan on telling her because i dont want her to think i am weird
sorry if i have rambled, but it is very emotional to me as i feel weird and different. anyway, you can always email me back and tell me if this has helped and i could tell you more if you needed any more info.

Re: nipple hair.. so embarassing
Many women remove excess hair by tweezing, shaving, waxing, or bleaching dark, unwanted hair. There are many low-cost products that can be purchased in drugstores for these methods.Although electrolysis is the only permanent way of removing hair......

Do not pluck!
Hello, I was looking up some things about Nipple hair (as I have it) and I wanted to tell you not to pluck your nipple hairs. I have had the area around my areolas lazered and still some of the hair has come back. Lazering was incredibly painful but it did rid me of some of the darker and thicker hairs. Some thin Ones were not thick enough or dark enough for the lazer to stunt their growth or kill them so they have come back. I told my lazer technician that I had been plucking the hairs to get rid of them and she told me to stop immediately. When you pluck a hair your body tells it to grow thicker and larger and stronger because it feels this way it will not be removed again. So immediately stop plucking the hair unless you want it to continue to grow faster and thicker. In addition approximately 30% of the body's possible hair cells are active at one time. By plucking you stimulate the inactive hair cells and "tell" them to grow . This is why the hair seems to be spreading. Unknowingly you are telling it to spread. Waxing, unlike plucking, relaxes and opens the pores with it's warmth and therefore does not increase hair growth as the hairs do not feel like they are being ripped out of the pore. Similarly waxing over time (we are talking years) can lessen hair because they hair cells get "tired" and have no "energy" left to grow. The best solutions to lessen or rid you of your nipple hair are to have it lazered (but that it expensive and painful), wax it (professionally) or to just trim it with scissors. There is also the option of leaving it. It may comfort you to know that I am now comfortable with the remaining nipple hair that I have. I sometimes trim it, but now it usually doesn't bother me. If you decide to consider lazering the hair a lazer technician can tell you if you are a good candidate! Lastly, approximately 40% of the world's women have some type of nipple hair, so do not fret, it isn't weird or abnormal, it's just different and something to think about. I hope I have helped you

sorry thats wrong - waxing and plucking are the same except plucking is on a smaller scale ... when waxing exactly the same thing happens with plucking - your removing the hair at the follical - waxing is just on a larger scale Im sure you were told this for a "sales" point of view How does your hair know if its being waxed or plucked - that is slightly ridiculous sorry 2 say!!

Do not pluck!
That's really good info, thanks. I started plucking my nipple hair, and you are correct, they come back thicker, and more keep popping up, it's so annoying! I have spoken to my husband about it, he says it doesn't bother him, but it bothers me!!! I'm thinking about lasering them out, but i'm thinking about starting a family soon and i'm wondering if this will have any negative implications with breast feeding or my general / overall health and the health of my children. Did your laser technician tell you any info about this? Many thanks for your help.

Nipple hair
yes its perfectly normal, i had them, dont do what i did and pluck them though as they get alot worse, i suggest that you go to your G.P thats what i did, she refered me to a dermatologist, i had blood tests to check for a hormone imablance and was refered to the laser hair removal department (god i love that place!) i had three sessions and i took about 8-12 weeks for them to start growing back and the came through alot finer if you have it done regularly you can be hair free, what a weight of my shoulders that was! its not a permanent form but as i said if you have it done on a regular basis as the are coming back through you dont notice. Im 32 now and have been struggling with this since i was around 16, get yourself down to the G.P. and dont stress with it as long as i did.

Ipl hair removal
Have you tried IPL Hair Removal, IPL AFT device delivers flashes of light at specific wavelengths. This light energy targets, and is absorbed by, the pigment called melanin within hair and is converted into heat. The hair transmits this heat into the hair follicle which it destroys and as a result the follicle cannot produce any new hairs. The intense pulsed light is designed to selectively treat only hair follicles so the surrounding skin remains unharmed.
I have had this treatment on my underarm and bikini line and it is fantastic. I am currently saving to have my legs done.

So i was wondering how much the treatments are i.e. a list example...arm such and such a price, bikinni line X price, lowers legs x price etc as i so want an end to my stubble, rashes and general embarisment. ...nipple hair.....
I was told, just tonight, after 14years of marriage and my first $150.00 bottle of wine to my lips, that my nipple hair is not normal! I'm really feeling weird.... I always thought it was quite normal. Then I read, "During pregnacy nipple hair is normal". What about the other 3 months out of the year? I think my husband is an Asshole.... I could be wrong? Make me feel better, cause I can't talk to anyone I see face to face about this BIG issue. Signed, Harry

Please dont feel weird!!
I hope you will be some what happy to know that he is wrong It is normal for all humans (male and female) to have nipple hair and toe hair and hair any place else on your body you can think of. Some ppl have more hair than others and some ppls hair is darker but it is in fact normal. But if you dont feel good about you should have it removed because the only persons thoughts on the matter that make a differance are yours. Oh yeah, I'm a 26 year old nurse working in an OBGYN practice and I know you are normal.

Mans perspective
My wife and I both like it when I kiss and suck her breasts during/before lovemaking. Lately- there have been hairs there...not many, probably 10 around each nipple. I don't want to hurt her feelings- but I don't like the feel of hair in my mouth. Should I say something? Spend less time doing what I've always done? Should I buy her a gift cert. for laser treatement? Should I show her this blog? Ladies- I don't want to sound like, nor be an arse! It just seems to be such an easy thing to fix. If there were something so simple for me- I would not hesitate. But, you know how women can be so sensitive about such things...what do I do?
