Hollywood session # 4 - fourth and last part ..
sorry girls but I had to split my post into smaller ones otherwise it wouldnt accept it ... dear all: so long for now, until next time, hugs!!!
|

Hollywood session # 4 ... 3 part
just one word to the girl who's saying this is not the machine you find at the salons: of course it's not!! it cannot be!! this is a high sensitive and (if not used properly) dangerous appliance, you could end up with serious skin damage: Even beauticians can make mistakes, you can imagine what would happen if you would give such a machine to be used at home by anyone !!!

Hollywood session # 4 ... 2 part ...
I DO seem to have a problem with the machine, though: the cable. It does not work properly. That is, the trigger won't get off (no red light, flashing or steady) until I try and shake the cable a bit, and then I manage to have those 3-4 shots I need to enough treat that zone. The very first time I used it, no probs whatsoever, only it paused (as the manual warns) for about 5 mins after the first shots. Now, it just wont start unless I shake and twist the cable a bit. That cannot be normal, but unfortunatly, as everyone here well knows, I am in Italy and there no Boots store to bring it in ...

Hollywood session # 4 ... part 1
okay girls ... fourth session done, and no burns whatsoever, so the machine looks pretty safe also for applications down there. I AM proceeding very carefully, though, doing everything by the book, I dont see terrific results yet but I do seem to spot some small hair-free patches here and there ... I know I'm just about half-way through, so I am not complaining.

Hi appletreegirl!!
keep me updated!!! want to know if it works!!! trying to buy one, but since i don't live in the uk it's getting pretty difficult ... will have to fly to london just to buy one???

I'm nearly on session 4...
hey dana,
i've got one - woohooo! it's my fourth session tonight, and things are looking REALLY promising! If i were you i'd book my trip to London soon! ha ha..i know i'm only a third of the recommended way through, but there are definite results happening already, which is a bit exciting! I've got some squares of smooth skin already, and it's only been 3 sessions! I only used it on my armpits twice, but there's already a clear patch, so it really is working...i can't quite believe it!! Have you checked it out online and stuff though? not everyone can use it, it's probably best if you're pale with dark hair - is that you?!
and appletree, how's it going? you beginning to see anything yet? hang on in there if not, first results after 3 sessions in my case, so just stick with it!!! xx

Yay!
Dana, i'm so pleased you managed to get one, that's AWEsome!! honestly, once you start getting results, it's soooo exciting! and in comparison to all the salon stuff, it's REALLY good value too, woohoooo!! Oh yeah, if you're ordering from here, remember you also need the activation gel, so make sure you get enough of that sent over - i reckon you prob' get through about 1 tube per 2 sessions, so there's one in the box, then you might need another 5? if you do the whole 12 weeks...it's only 2.99 a tube, but don't forget that, coz it'll be really annoying if you start and then have to stop and order some in...although, i dunno what's different about it - or whether you could use aloe or something? but i just wanted to do it all by the book you know?!! anyway, let's def' keep in touch, we've got some exciting, hair-free times ahead!!!! woohoooo!!! xx

me too I'm on these 2 different threads but it doesnt matter, just as long as I'm sharing some mind with you girls!! I'll soon be one of those using this little miracle ... want to keep a weekly diary with all the progresses (they WILL be terrific, wont they??? hahahah!!) and see how it really works time by time ... I'll be back!!! More on this soon!!!! (p.s. glad you like the nick ... )

No hollywood!
Hey! Glad it's arrived.
You're not meant to use it for a Hollywood!! Says in the intructions (point number '4') that you shouldn't use it too near the labia! Be very careful and make sure you follow the guidelines.
Yes, I get the time delay too. I asked about it and it's meant to stop the machine over-heating.
I'm very happy with it. It's a little miracle!! xx

I'm back!!!
hey you guys! so sorry, i've been missing for ages! how goes it?!! looks as though everyone's doing alright?!! good one! ha ha! I should be on about session 8 now, but annoying things got in the way, so i'm only on about 5..i think, but it's going brilliantly!!! daaaaannnaaaaaaaa, like appletree girl says, you've gotta be careful down there!! i guess if you're on week 3 already and you've had no pain, you can't be doing too much too wrong, but just don't go too far and burn yourself, that'd be a nightmare! ahhh, it is well exciting though isn ... !! some girl in the facebook group - think it's 'here come the smooth skin girls' or something, has been hairfree for NINE MONTHS!!!! whhhhaaaaaa?!!! ha ha! that is AMAAAAAYzing! yep yep girls, let's keep the commitment strong, we can do this...wooohoooo!!! how's it going for everyone else then?! xx

Hi everybody,
it is very exciting to read about all your experiences-you can guess, i am about to purchase one myself!!! BUT, how do we know it is REALLY SAFE! I was about to speak to someone from Boots, but what else would they say, apart from how good the product is. Did anybody do some research before getting this magical product?

This machine is not high powered!!
Hi girls
Just been reading all your blogs and is great to see you are all so keen and interested. I have one BIG problem with this machine IT IS NOT THE SAME AS IS USED IN CLINICS/SALONS!!!
I work for a laser clinic and it has taken me several years to become experienced in laser. The machines that we use are high powered and can get amazing results very quickly but can also be dangerous in the wrong hands. The are goverened strictly by health and safety for this reason.
The diiference between what you are all using and what can get from a good clinc with are a good machine is RESULTS!! this machine from boots will be very low powered otherwise it would not be allowed to be put on the shelves. High powered machines can result in nasty burns and problems with sin pigment (colour) and of course Boots do not want to be associated with this, so believe me it will be low powered.
what you will see from this machine will be;-
-temporary hair loss (it does not have the power to kill a hair which is what a professional IPL/laser can do) - turning the hairs from thick hairs to finer hairs -leaving you with areas of baldness (professional devices will remove nearly all the hair for you) - you will have to carry on doing the treatments for years to come as maintenance as it is not high powered enough to kill a high you will only be stunting the growth which will mean you will have to maintain for years possibly forever.
For the price you have paid you will see a difference, but YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE RESULTS YOU WOULD GET FROM A PROFESSIONAL MACHINE, which is what they are trying to claim. That is wrong. I think it is a great idea to have a buget option, but you can not achieve at home what can be achieved in a professional clinic/salon. This can be said for many at home products e.g home microdermabrasion, home waxing, self applied false nails.
My message here is to say it is not rubbish but please don't think it is going to give you permanent complete 100% hair loss IT WILL NOT
Thank you
