Ipl - results with my colouring?

Hopefully some of you ladies can help me?
1) I am kind of olived skin -think Italian/Spanish looking dark hair and eyes. Sallow skin colour in winter months but then tan quite easily and can go quite dark brown in summer if exposed to sun. So my question I've read on various sites that the IPl really works better with dark haired but fair/pale skins? Would be interested to know if anyone with my colour skin had successfull resluts and how long did it take and what areas...?
2) I'm thinking of starting the 1stcourse/treatment in the next week or two but then we are going on our summer hols at the end of August so if I come back all tanned will that have an impact on my next session of IPL if the skin is tanned/darker? Again anyone have been in similar position? Should I just wait until winter months and do it all then?

I'm of olive complexion and have just completed laser IPL treatment. IPL works well with fair skin with dark hair, however I am not fair and can say it has been successful for me, you wil be fine, I believe the rule is your hair has to be darker than your skin colour. Good luck x
