How many of you after being on here and doing your homework....went to your consultations with pretty good ideas of what you wanted. As in profile, size, unders, overs, round etc.......ended up with the surgeon agreeing with you? Or how many went with these thoughts and the surgeon told you totally the opposite to what you were thinking???? I am asking because my consultation will be on the morning of my op and i know in my head now what i want....whether i can have that or not is another thing and really up to the surgeon as he knows what hes doing more than me....well we would hope so :-p lol.

I went in knowing what I wanted to achieve but was not going to presume that internet research could anywhere near compare to the surgeon's advice and expertise. I had did feel better for all the research I had done because I understood the terminology etc, but in fact it was in my case pretty useless because I thought I wanted something like a 260 anatomical unders but as soon as I got there I was advised to go for 335 round overs! The benefit of the research was that when the ps gave me the advice I was able to ask why one was better than the other and importantly I understood the difference. He was obviously right though, because I have EXACTLY what I wanted... (albeit a little bigger than expected, but that was to fill me out a bit to avoid needing an uplift).

i knew that I wanted round and unders and that I most likely would need them because of very little breast tissue. I didn't do enough homework on the profile thing though so am going with the surgeons recommendation of high profile. We orginally settled on a 350cc high profile implant and when we compared the size of the implant to the rice boob I took with me, there wasn't much difference in the size so we were fairly close.

I did however change my mind and requested one implant size bigger and am now having 390cc instead.

But that was the only change.

PS: what will help is if you can find a picture of what you would like to look like, there are quite a few on the internet so find a few and take them with you. That will give the surgoen a good idea as well
