I had my ba four days ago. I have been having consistent pain and soreness with stabbing pains when i move in one of my boobs - just where the scar is and the scar is very bumpy. there is also a kind of blister at one end of the scar. i was expecting stabbing pains as they seem to be quite common but this is no longer happening in the other boob which is recovering quite nicely. I will phone my surgeon on monday to arrange an appointment but in the meantime can anyone reassure me is this normal? the pain is so intense around the scar but there is nothing else to suggest it is infected so i don't think antibiotics are needed. but i don't know what it is and i am really afraid my scar will remain really gross and bumpy. Can anyone tell me about their scars and how they looked, felt and healed? FYI my scars are in the bust crease and i had 345 unders. Thanks, gg

until at least 4 weeks - you'll disturb the internal stitches if you start massaging them. Everything will start to settle down after a couple of weeks anyway... just be careful sweet and give it time xx

Hi there,

I had these stabbing pains with my first BA, only in my left boob though in the same place you are describing. They were worse around day 3/4/5 and literally disappeared overnight by day 6. Lots of girls have these for much longer though so please don't panic. Treat each boob as a different op - he might have had to mess around a bit more in one boob hence the pain in this one only. They often recover at different rates. I didn't have any blisters to speak of but my left scar did weep a litte bit. If you are worried about anything call and speak to a nurse, but i'm sure you will be fine

My scars were really bumpy at first as well but once I started using bio oil after my scars were healed on the outside they soon smoothed out.

J xx

she is right - you have got to treat each boob as two different operations - im 5 months on and from day one my right one has always given me the most grief!! I felt as though my scars were bumpy at first and had little niggling pains and all that but they were fine and have healed lovely but i too used the bio oil as soon as i could
