I first thought this was just a BA forum, lol! I honestly had no idea so many women are having BAs. I have no boobs but haven't even thought about having a BA... until I found this forum...!

Hi there,
can i ask you if you have had BA, because if you hav'nt you wont realise what it means to have boobs when you have never had them all your life. It has nothing to do with beauty, its about confidence, its about dying of embarrasment when you put a bikini on, and never being able to buy a pretty bra because its not padded, if you havnt had that then you wont understand. sorry i am not getting at you its just hard for people to understand.

Hi Claire
Has it really made you feel that good? Like you I've had to learn to brazen it out about my small boobs, pretending that it doesn't matter. In fact when I went to the doctor to discuss it I burst out crying and its causing a bit of conflict in my head. I'm sure I'd like them but say I don't, I'm just really worried I wont feel that they're mine. You might have read my earlier thread about is everyone happy with their boobs so like you I know where your coming from. I'd really value your experience and how you feel now.

Hi, Yes it has made me feel good and it will only get better, i have never had boobs so this is a novelty to me so far, i am still in a lot of pain as i only had My ba just over a week ago, but already i know i done the right thing. I have always battled with my felings about it but always knew deep down that i wanted it, it was always silly things like going shopping with friends for clothes i could never just buy something that i liked it was always what suited my boobs, i would never wear anything with a vneck and nothing backless because i always had to wear a bra, i only have a small frame anyway, (5ft and 7 1/2 st) so mine are not big i only went to a c cup, they actually look the same in clothes as they did before with a good gel bra! (lol). But i know now that i can go on holiday and put a bikini on and not feel embarassed, i can also take my kids to the swimming baths, something i would never do before because i looked like an ironing board in a bather! You will only do what you think is right, if its something youve always wanted like me then i say do it, but only you will know if its right. Oh and im getting married next year so trying dresses on was going to be a trauma for me but now i know it will be fine and ill get the dress i want rather than one that just suits my boobs!

Hi Claire,
I am getting married this July, and have a consultation booked for March - I only hope there will be enough time to have my BA before the wedding.
I have my dress already and it's gorgeous - but I look completely flat in it and that was the final straw for me in what has been a long battle with trying to convince myself with countless pads that my boobs are ok.
The realisation that I was flat kicked in when the lady in the shop told me to remove my bra when I tried my dress on and I just wanted to die - my padded bra is my safety blanket - without it I feel pathetic.
I have a very small frame as well so wont be going silly, can't wait for my consultation to get th eball rolling.
xx

Hi Sam,
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, i think iwas lucky i decided i definatly wanted BA in december, went for my consultation early jan and had my BA 8th Feb, it was so quick i didnt have much time to think about it, which is good cos i didnt have much time to worry. Not that i was really worried just excited (lol) I know what you mean about dresses, i have seen a beautiful dress, but i havnt tried it on yet simply because of my boobs, but now i have them im waiting for the swelling to go down so i can try it on! Cant wait. I bet you cant wait for your consultation, i felt really silly taking my bra off when i went for mine, but my surgeon was great, it was if he knew how i felt and never made me take it off for too long, and believe me it was worth the embarrasment! Take care and keep in touch Claire x

Hi Claire
I'm really pleased your so happy with your BA and just hope the pain isn't too bad but I bet seeing and knowing the result makes it all worth it.
Congratulations and good luck with the wedding dress hunting. I must admit that's one thing I'm looking forward to, being able to choose anything I like rather than being dictated by my small boobs.
All the best for your recovery. Mary

Hi Mary, yes it is definatly worth the pain, or it will be, the first time i go for a new bra and can get one i want!. have you got any consultations booked yet or are you just toying with the idea at the minute, i have read the other threads and think the rice idea is a good one. Just make sure you are comfortable with your surgeon, mine was lovely and im glad i chose him. Good luck Mary i hope you are happy with whatever you choose to do.

No I haven't any consultations booked but am planning to but now I'm wondering how long that process takes and would I be better to get them done in the autumn. Although I'm small boobed I'm happy enough to go topless on holiday where nobody knows me because I don't like strap marks. I want to go to a couple of different consultants so how quick can you be fitted in and then how long before they operate. As it now seems so popular do they have long waiting lists? Mary

I guess its exactly the same as why women spend so much on their hair and get it streaked, or why they wear make-up or buy nice clothes. It is just another asset that we women want to make the best of. Bit like why do we want flat tummies and slim legs. Boy - I feel depressed now but 1 out of 3 aint bad - LOL
