| Thread started by: | "For anyone considering macrolane breast injections..." Posted by ange6422 6 October at 18:06
Hi there,
Ive been reading some of the posts on here about macrolane and I thought Id share my story
I was one of the first women in the UK to have macrolane injections in my breasts. I had them done by Dr Mike Comins of the Hans Place Practice in Knightsbridge. I was obviously pretty nervous about having the procedure done, but Dr Comins was really good at reassuring me I had a consultation beforehand and he talked me through what he would do at every stage. I also had a consultation a week or so after the treatment so he could check that I was happy.
The procedure itself was slightly painful, you dont feel anything except a slight 'tugging' sensation. You're awake during the procedure and can ask for more volume in certain places as he's doing it, which made me feel like I had bespoke breasts! Like any minor procedure, I was slightly sore for about 4 days afterwards, but it was definitely worth it - instead of not feeling comfortable in a bikini or nice bra as there was never enough volume I can now wear nice lingerie without being embarassed. Im really pleased with the way they look it's a very natural kind of topping up of what you already have to create a nicer shape by the volume - not at all like an artificial implant.
If you are self conscious about your breasts - if they're an awkward shape or droopy, this is probably the most natural way of enhancing them as macrolane itself is based on a product that occurs naturally in the body and this made me feel that it was the safest option.

Hi, I'm having the procedure done on the 23rd Oct i'm really nervous about having it done but excited at at the same time as i'm a very small 32a, thank you for sharing your story and I feel much happier, have you had them topped up yet and if so are they as the same size as when you first had them done.

Er thats a bit rude! . As you can see the majority of ppl on this forum are getting bas so i find that comment inappropriate. Breast implants are very advanced now and feel really natural and soft.
I think you're an advertiser personally anyway.

I considered going down the macrolane route but the thing is it is not a permanent solution like implants!! I know implants have a shelf life and will have to be changed after 10-15 years and mean having an op under gen anathestic - but it is definitely more cost effective in the long run and more is known about future long term risks etc as they have been around for years.
I think macrolane is prob really good for people considering bigger boobs and a poss ba in future or for a special occassion and also for people who don't necc want to go bigger but want change in shape and volume. But think Im an implant girl all the way
Glad you are happy with your enhanced boobs - enjoy hun!! xxx

there is no quick fix for anything and even with macrolane there have been some down sides. I think everyone has to remember that with any cosmetic procedure, there are certain risks attached.

is very common in the asian entertainment industry. Many japanese and Hong Kong movie actresses and entertainers have used a macrolane type process to go up a cup size or two, but then, 150cc on a 49 kilo Hong Kong actress is a lot more than 150cc on a typical western woman.
I have looked into this in central China while traveling here with my husband on business. This procedure is available in China for as little as $250, but I would imagine the actual product used in the implant is not the trademarked macrolane. With the latest tainted milk episode fresh in our minds, I won't be getting surgery in China.
