"Hiya" Posted by chrissyd1 13 October at 12:10
Hello Luv im a pole dancer and i have taken 4 weeks off so far
I had unders so a bit more sore. I would even think about touching the pole at the moment and i going to leave it another 2 weeks before i return just to be safe as i know of a few people who have gone back early and have suffered with it.
Some people i know have gone back dancing within 2 weeks but wouldnt recommend it.
I am going to go back in 2 weeks i think to be safe so will have 6 weeks off and stay away from the pole for another 2 weeks if i can. Been doing some small weights on my multi-gym to get my arm / back muscles back which seems to be helping.
Everyone is different but if you are having unders you may want to think about a couple more weeks off
Hope this helps

"Arnica tablets" Posted by teresa1c 12 October at 22:50
I'm not a lapdancer but make sure you take arnica tablets, they are great. I normally bruise every day from the slightested knock but I am 11 days post op and haven't had one bruise, you can't even see my scars unless you lift my boobs up and there is not scabbing over anything. I tried running with my 4 year old in park yesterday for a few minutes and that wasn't very comfy though so take it slowly. Good luck.

"Buy them from boots, about £6 if i remember" Posted by teresa1c 12 October at 23:11
they are in the natural health section, purple little tube Arnica 6c it says on it. I got told you can take them 1 week before op but not the day of the operation so you could get some tomorrow and take them up till wed night then after your op. I took them every 2 hours for 5 days then every 4 hours after that, it tells you on the label anyway hon. They don't sell them in all pharmacy's though, I have only seen them in boots where I live.

Hi, I'm a pole dancer & originally had a BA in 2005. I had 300cc partials & ended up having to take 6 weeks off work because of severe bruising & swelling. Although I could just about cover my bruises with make up & bronzer, I couldn't hide the fact that one boob was far bigger than the other! I'm having mine redone on 2nd Jan & am planning 3-4 weeks off work with 8 weeks off the pole. As for my support bra, I'm literally planning to sit there with it on until customers come in & then I'll hide it! Are u having unders or overs & what size are u going from/to? X

"Hi hun!" Posted by loo1982 12 October at 22:02
Im currently a 34b ,having 390cc partial unders,on thursday ahhhh!! totaly shittin myself .I was hoping make up and false tan would cover slight bruising.Im hoping to achieve a d-dd maybe.A lot of the girls i work with have had around the 300cc mark ,there all saying "there gonna be huge" but i doubt that.I am a bit worried about having to take my sports bra off.the thought of having 3 weeks off work is totally gutting ,all the money im gonna miss out on ,i could probberley pay for my boobs again!never mind they'll earn me more in the long run! loox

"Fake tan" Posted by sarabear30 13 October at 16:19
Hi, I just remembered, I tried to cover my original bruising with fake tan & it just went really weird. All patchy like the tan wouldn't sink into the skin! Don't know if its where the skin was newly stretched but I couldn't use fake tan for a few months. It might have just been me, don't know if its a common thing?! Foundation & bronzing powder worked well tho xx

"Time off" Posted by shibainugirl 12 October at 20:22
hi
i have heard from my friend that some of her colleagues took a month off... but i would be careful, because the Dr always advise not to go to the gym for 6 weeks... so its could be the same in your job! do you pole dance as well because if so i would defo wait 6 weeks.

"Dancer" Posted by jenn2009 14 October at 20:56
im not a pole dancer but am a cage dancer for a nightclub on weekend as a second job. i waited 2 months so that id be comfortable wearing normal bras/whatever. but i think youre right in that you should just see how you feel. i have a friend (dancer) who was back to dancing only a week later (didnt wear support, as you thought of)...but we all joked with her that we could see her scabbing as she was barely healed congrats and goodluck
