Had ba on 18th @ clinic beaucare (brussels)

Hello girlies!

I'm new to this board, been "lurking" for a number of months whilst getting as much info as poss before my BA (has been VERY helpful!! ) Finally had it done on Tuesday and the pain has become just about bearable now so thought I'd write my story!! Loads of people seem to be going to Elyzea so might make a change to hear about BeauCare instead!

Arrived in Brussels on Monday evening around 8pm, took a taxi straight to the hotel (crazy taxi driver drove WAY too fast!!!) which was the Campanile in Vilvoorde (bout 10 mins away). Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in but didn't expect much for the price. Was clean and pleasant enough, although the beds weren't very comfy and hotel was very noisy!!!!

Had to be at the clinic at 7am, way too early for me!!!l Was so tired. Got a taxi there which only took 5 mins even though the driver didn't seem to know where he was going! Clinic was lovely and modern, very clean and all the staff were very friendly. Nurse went through my medical questionaire and took payment while I got changed into a dressing gown and slippers (was allowed to keep my own pants on! lol)

Met Dr Plovier, who was very nice and friendly, oh and good looking too!! lol. only looked about late 30's to me!! He talked me through my expectations (took some photos with me of what I did and didn't want) he seemed horrified of a pic of Victoria Beckham's boobs, which was good coz I really didn't want that look!!! Took a few photos and drew on me, discussed sizes and told me it was going to be painful etc.

Met the anaesthetist next, who was also very nice. He explained what was going to happen to me and asked how I was feeling (terrified!) I am a veterinary nurse so I know too much about anaesthetics and surgery really so made me more nervous! Wanted to know EVERYTHING!!! I then followed him into the operating theatre which looked very well equipped, clean and modern, smelt very clinical too. Started to relax a bit as everything seemed of a very high standard. Lay on the table which was lovely and warm, whilst I was put on a drip (it hurt, now I know why dogs and cats make such a fuss when I do it to them!!) and had a blood pressure monitor and O2 monitor attached to me. My heart rate sounded very fast!! lol. Was then told I would start to feel sleepy, lay there looking a the ceiling lights thinking that it wasn't working, then everything went fuzzy and black....

Came round in the recovery room in a nice warm chair, was very comfy. Felt very drunk and was seeing double! Nurse and anaesthetist kept coming to check on me and they were very sweet. Was taken off my drip and given some oral pain relief. Wasn't really feeling very painful when I came round, could move my arms above my head so I was happy. Gradually started to get more painful though so was put on a drip again given more intra-venous pain relief this time, which made me feel sick, so had to have something to counteract the sickness too. Nothing seemed to work though and I was getting pretty uncomfortable Every time I tried to sit up I felt really sick, so had to stay lying down for a while. Got to bad I actually threw up at one point, but was given some more anti-sickness drugs and felt loads better. Pain was still bad though but couldn't be given any more coz that was what was making me sick!! Dr Plovier then came to see me, told me everything went well and I'd had the biggest implants he could fit in! Went through post-op instructions etc and made sure I was ok. My mouth felt so dry and I was dying for a drink of Coke, but I wasn't allowed in case I was sick on the journey back to the hotel!

Eventually managed to get out of the chair at about 1pm and felt ok so the nurse came to take me off my 2nd drip (had 2 HUGE bags of fluids in the end!) and helped me to get dressed. She gave me some strong Ibuprofen to take home and ordered me a taxi back to the hotel. Started to get really painful and I knew that Ibuprofen wouldn't work but anything stronger would make me be sick again.

Next 24hrs were a nightmare. Was in so much pain I was finding it hard to cope. Needed help with everything. Just kept gettting worse and worse. Didn't sleep much at all that night, just couldn't get comfy and the bed was way too hard! My flight home wasnt til 8.50pm the next day so had a lot of waiting to do! Really didnt know what to do with myself, was finding it hard to handle the pain and just wanted to go home. Kept checking my boobs, and they looked pretty good! Although the big black compression bra I've got on isn't very comfortable or flattering! lol. Was feeling very bloated though and wasn't able to lift my arms any more.

Anyway, I'm back at home now. Still in pain but much better than yesterday, can cope with it a lot more now. Not really been doing much, but I can manage to look after myself now! Got quite a lot of feeling in my boobs, just got a numb patch on the inside of my right one, but my nipples are fine. Feel much happier now anyway, although I am dying to be able to see them properly!!! Got to wait til saturday til I can take bra off and have a little peek. Got to keep it on for 4 weeks in total though. I am just so relieved that the pain is getting better now, I really wasn't expecting it to be quite that bad. Just taking it easy and hoping that I will heal ok and be happy with the final result!! I feel very happy with the treatment I got whilst at the clinic anyway, all the staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for me. I felt like I could really trust the surgeon too, so fingers crossed!!!! I know its early days yet though and I've still got a lot of healing to do, but so far so good.

I would highly recommend BeauCare, they provided a very high standard of care at a great price! It was hard being in Brussels though, I just wanted my own bed!!! I feel much better now I'm home. Everything went smoothly anyway, and I have no regrets so far. I just really hope it stays that way. I'll put some pics up once I've healed a bit more, sorry about the length of this post!! didn't realise just how much I'd written!! lol.

My stats:

Age 24
5'6"
Size 10
Was 34A
Had 515cc round unders
Hoping to be a DD, possibly a bit bigger

thanks for reading my story!!

Beaucare for ba on friday 13th feb09!

hi emma
i cannot see a post from you since your 20thNov 2 days after your ba at beaucare. how are you feeling now? You are nearly 2 months post op. Are u able to do any physical excersise now?

did u use any oils for your stitches? when did the pain become better? How long did you take the painkillers for? when did you go back to work?

I also get sick when i come round after an op so having read your message, i am feeling apprehensive. But I am booked in now and cant wait. I am a 32AA and cannot even find bras to fit me at the moment!

sorry about so many questions.

jen

Hello,

I am fine now, and very happy! I am a 34F and can get a great cleavage! They are fairly soft and bouncy now too. I am a veterinary nurse, and my job is very physical. I can do heavy lifting and exercise no problem now. I think the turning point for me was around 6 weeks, it was only then that the pain stopped completely and could start sleeping on my front again. They feel like part of me now to be honest, and only really feel sore if they get knocked hard.

Wounds are healing fine now. Still look a bit pink but not painful at all. I am using something called Cica-Care, its an adhesive silicone gel pad that you place over the scars to help them to heal. The pain was only bad for the first few weeks really, I had 2 weeks off work and was on light duties for a further 4 weeks. I only had Ibuprofen coz the stronger stuff was making me sick, so I was in a lot of pain. If you can have stronger pain relief, you will be fine. Took pain relief for about 2 weeks I think (helped with the swelling/inflammation anyway)

The only issues I've had are a few small stretch marks appearing at around 6 weeks. Very annoying. They will fade with time though so not too worried, will get some Bio-Oil. Gone from an A to an F so not surprising really!! lol.

Quite happy to answer your questions so don't worry!!

Good luck with your op! its so exciting!!!

Oops

...Meant to say "beaucare is lovely, itsn ... "

My right breast has some numbness around the nipple and cleavage area, how about u guys?

I hope the feeling comes back soon coz its weird!!! lol

Hey,

I reckon ur gonna be huge!! I am currently alternating between the horrible black compression bra and sports bras from Adsa when it is in the wash. I fit into a 34D and a 34DD, although the DD seems a bit comfier. Soooooo..... I reckon ur gonna be pretty big!!!! Maybe more like an E/F!! I was told that 515cc was the biggest he could fit into me, and I can believe that!!! The skin in between my boobs is so tight, it would probably rip if I had a bigger implant! My chest muscles must be pretty tight!

A lot of people say I look in perfect proportion so I'm pretty happy How are u coping with the pain? I found it so hard to deal with at times, needed help sitting up and going to the toilet. Each day gets better though so hang in there!!!

Had my stitches out today, nurse said they looked like they are healing well which is a relief as I am terrified of infection, and the wounds have been stinging a lot recently.

BeauCare is lovely isn ... They really do take care of u there. Would like to see ur pics!

Happy healing!!!!!

hi
im 8days post op now, ihad 490cc unders and i was a 32a and popping out of my 36d sports bra, hoping to be a dd,they getting bigger every day, when i first saw mine after the op i was gutted thought they were too small. but there filling out nicely. i had my done at the wellness kliniek in belguim/genk, found it to be a little rushed but im happy so far. i looked into so many places, was going to have a tummy tuck at the same time but decided to wait, i was ok pain wise after wards, was hard getting up out of bed, hubby had to help, was a nightmare washing my hair the day after, looking forward to getting my staples out. how are you feeling now.i keep getting lightning like pain in my nipples ,which must mean sensation coming back which must be good
did you go on your own,i was going to,struggled putting my coat on afterwards
i found it a nightmare sleeping on my back as ive had discs taken out so my back goes in spasm if i sleep on my back, so i have 10 pillows wished id got a v shape one
jenny

Bumping my post for the girls asking about BeauCare

I'm only 3 days post-op but any questions, just ask!

Emma xx

Ooer!

wonder how big I'm gonna end up then! lol. I dont reckon they look that big at the moment, although they are well secured in the special bra and can't really see them very well. I asked about 3 times what size he managed to fit in me, coz I don't think I believed it at first!! lol. Oh well, will just have to wait and see! Suppose its best to be bigger than expected than smaller!

Oh and I just want to say, my V-shaped pillow has been SO useful with helping me to sleep. I would highly recommend getting one!! Don't know what I'd do without it! I"m really not used to sleeping on my back at all so its really helping a lot. Hope I haven't scared anyone with my details of the pain I've been experiencing, I'm sure its not going to be as severe for everyone.... heard of some girls just having "discomfort" even with unders, lucky things!!! lol

Em xx

Hi

glad everything went well hun, great story!! Cant wait for mine now, just dreading the pain lol xx Happy healing xx

Congrats

Congrats hon, well done. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I reckon you will DEFO be bigger than a DD with 515cc unders. I reckon at least an F. Look forwarding to seeing your pics. I'm hoping to have 460cc unders in January. Can't wait.

Take care of yourself and your new additions.

Sam xx

hey emma

wow what a wonderful story....thank you for sharing. Glad your home now and feeling much better because of it!! Nothing like your own bed but especially when your in pain.

I am going to Elyzea in two weeks time feeling really excited/nervous and basically just cant wait. It was really interesting to hear a story from beaucare.

I am sure with 515cc unders you will defo get your DD infact more than likely larger than that going on the other woman on here that had that size unders. Remember the fluffing fairy will visit yet too

thanks again hun
happy healing
