Ba in belfast - fitzwilliam or ulster clinic??

Hi Girls - any words of wisdom on either of the above - recommendations or stay clears - all advice received with thanks. Whats the difference in price - I know Ulster Independent do a 'fixed price option' - any thoughts. Happy New Year to all - and new boobies to me!!

Hey girls

Just a wee random comment as i am feeling so much better today This is day four of my Ba, which was partial unders, (considerably more painfull). eek. I can report that my pain has almost vanished now, i can only feel it if i stretch or someone hugs me really hard. I cant believe how good i feel today, day one to three were quite agony and i wasnt really taking all of my painkillers as i was afraid it was too many, silly me, i should have kept up to date on them, never needed any pain relief today at all. Hope this helps. love and sunshine!

New boobies

Hey there, both clinics are good. Fitzwilliam being few hundred pounds cheaper, but the standard without a doubt is just as high. Steven sinclair was my consultant, comes very hightly qualified, also works for nhs as a top surgeon, clinic very flexible with regards dates and times to suit. They offer general anaesthetic. I was out the same day and am feeling great, ill keep you posted on my results, actually had it dont today and im back to normal!!

Good luck chick

Medi-cosmetic

Im booked with medi cosmetic out in jordanstowns with Gary Traynor, startin to get nervous! xxxx

Belfast clinics

Hi there!

I'm from Belfast too & i originally considered the Fitzwilliam clinic as an option. Unfortunately they only use twilight sedation rather than general anesthetic so that put me off but i know of at least 2 girls who have used the clinic with great results. The surgeon they used as far as i can remember was Stephen Sinclair who i think is an NHS consultant as well so he knows his stuff!!!

I never looked into the Ulster independant clinic but ive heard nothing bad about them

I ended up going to birmingham to have my ba done through mybreast as i just couldnt fully research any other surgeons at home. I wouldve loved to have had it done in Belfast but i just couldnt consider Twilight sedation. Luckily my other half is originally from birmingham so i was able to recover at his parents home but not evetyone is so lucky!! Just do as much research as you can on your surgeon and go to a few consultations.

Good luck!!!

Chicky xx

Re: fitzwilliam clinic, steven sinclair

Just to let you know that this clinic does offer general Anasthetic as wll as 'Twilight sleep', you may have to request this when you are enquiring about your proceure, but they def do it. I had a breast enlargement done with them this week and i had the procedure done and home that day, ill let you know how i get on with it.

many thanks

Congrats

Congrats to you hun!!! Just make sure you rest up & dont try to do too much.

That's great that they are doing GA now. I started researching about a year & a half ago & at that stage they only offered the twilight so that's brilliant news.

Good luck xx

Thank you

Day two of op, and so sore today compared to yesterday, the nurse give me a call to see how i was doing she was really nice, she said i wasnt taking enough painkillers lol. I know what you mean, i needed to be knocked out for operation id be a bit frightened in a twilight sleep, had that at the dentist and was too aware of my surroundings

Hi!

I had a consult with Brendan Fogharty who I believe operates at the Ulster Independant Clinic and used operate at the Fitzwilliam. I may have it the wrong way round though.

He was a very nice man, but wanted to refer me to one of his colleagues, a Mr. Khan, as he didn't feel it would be easy to get the result I wanted. In the end I decided not to take the referral, but to go with the original surgeon who did my tummy tuck in Birmingham, despite that meaning a flight to/from the op. I am glad I did, my results so far are excellent and are exactly what I wanted.

I think if you go with either clinic, you'd be getting a BAAPS reg. surgeon, so would be covered by their 'rules'.
