Dry skin on boobs

Hi all
I am now 3 weeks po and feel fine, however my boobs still feel very hard and can be tender. I expect that still at this stage and am just itching (in every sense) for them to soften a bit.
However my problem is my skin on my new boobies, it is really dry and flakes, infact when i take off my sports bra it is like a mini snowstorm of skin than comes off aswell
Is this normal? And how long does it last for?? I know i can't put any oils in my bath to moisturise and i am a little concerned that if i rub cream on my breasts it may somehow get into my scars.......it's just so frustrating that all i want is to itch my boobs and feel like a lizard with shedding skin!!!

Any advice from all you post op ladies would be extremley welcome.

P.S I have put on a bit of weight over the last month and am going to start excercising again very soon, but how much extra weight do you think having 380 overs has added to my frame?? I know it wont be loads but i do feel that my breasts are very heavy

Dry boobs

I had dry boobs to so I used Aqueous cream it's water based and very gentle I was scared to use any thing too but after about 4 days I was so fed up I just used it, It was lovely and the dryness went in about 2 days.

I also wanted to know how much mt 310's weighed and I think there just under 1lb each so yours are probably about 1lb each.

Dry skin

Hiya,

Yeah mine too, I was told that our body's shed a layer of skin daily and where we are wearing a sports bra 24 hours a day the skin is unable to shed properly.

I have been rubbing mine gently with a went face towel when I'm in the shower and then putting on E45 cream (it's got no purfumes or anything in it) on when i get out. I put my sports bra on first, that way any excess cream is absorbed into the bra rather than getting it anywhere near the scars.

Mine are loads better.

Hi ya

This is normal, i asked the nurse on my follow up appointment and was told that this is normal, just use a lotion.. i used palmers coco butter. And before long it will clear up. You wont notice where the skin has flaked of either.

hi hun, i used palmers cocco butter stretch mark cream on my boobs when i got really dry skin, its great stuff and non greasy so it didn't give me spots, just avoid the scars for a while... you'll be fine..

don't know about the wight part of it hun, i did put a bit on but a lot of that was the swelling and me being a bit bloated, just give a while and it'll come off..
