There is nothing wrong with using the forum as a social site for discussing your feelings and swapping notes about your surgery, as long as you are aware that you really dont know who you are talking to. You wouldnt take advice on something as important as surgery from a complete stranger you met on the street.

Ive said before on here go to your GP and ask for his/her advice and recommendation on good surgeons. Why pay a middle man (clinic), where you get very little time with the actual surgeon and put your trust in a patient coord who is really only a salesperson. If you know the surgeon you want, you can still contact him direct you dont need to use these clinics. If you deal direct with the surgeon you know you are getting the best advice and treatment from start to finish of the process. You are paying a lot of money for this surgery and you deserve to be treated appropriately.

Unfortunately I've never trusted the information on this site. We have no idea who is bhind it, or who the mods even are. That's because this site isn't predominately a surgery site.. it's just about women's topics in general.

They probably spent a lot of time posting the good stuff!! im glad its gone to be honest..i think people will question why the can not post the name of the hosp now so it saves people a job about having to warn them...
