hey,
i've heard that they are not the superior brand of implants but that's not because of any other reason other than Mentor and Allergan are FDA approved so therefore cost more and monopolise the upper end of implants but in truth that's not to say that the other brands are crap, i tend to think of it like supermarket branding, i've always thought (but could be wrong) that the basic and standard foods are basically the same thing but in different packaging!
From what i understand most if not all implant making companies are pretty cagey about the rupture statistics of their product and from what i gather they have no legal obligation to share this with us. That being the case who actually knows which ones are more likely to rupture or fail us?
Surgeons are bound to plug the FDA approved ones and for that reason alone i'll have it as i dont want to risk it but for those of you that didnt even think to ask about brands etc.. and have a lesser brand there's no point worrying yourself sick about it unless your willing to have another op and change them?
Tx
