Hello all- starting to think about breast augementation....you guys are the pros!

Hi all

Following the birth of my latest daughter 11 weeks ago, my poor boobies have definately seen better days!!

I have never considered cosmetic surgery before until today I went to wear a halter neck top and my boobies didnt fill it! Infact I've gone from a C cup to an A

I have so far looked at 2 companes......MYA and MYBREAST and would be interested in any recommendations you have.

I am worried about going to these huge clinics and wondered if seeing specific surgeons privately was a better option.

Any advice greatfully received!

xx

Your poor thing, don't worry

Hi sweetheart, you poor thing getting all worked up. Listen I went to a small firm and my surgeon was excellent, really nice. The larger firms just seemed a little like a cattle market. My consultation was great he advised size, shape and if it needed to be behind the muscle or not. My surgeon was Mr Paul E Baguley at BMI Darlington. Reading these posts over the last few days, I have read that he also does work for mybreast. So it just shows that they have their fingers in many pies. If your in North Yorkshire go to him, he's great. But sweetheart I think the other girls are right. If I were you I would wait a little longer until your boobs do settle down, then become a scrummy Mummy!!! Good luck sweetheart if you need to know anything else just let me know x x xKJC

Hi there

When you are ready to go and meet with the clinics/hospitals and private surgeons, I would suggest going to see as many as possible. I did go through a big company Transform and am very happy with everything. But you should go with who you feel comfortable with. The large companies usually let you see surgeons free of charge, and some ask for small fees. Make sure you are happy with your surgeon, the implants they will be using and the after care they offer. These are very important parts especially aftercare, if anything goes wrong you want to know you will be looked after and they will do any re ops for free (up to a point). Thoroughly research your surgeon, research your implants as there are many different types on the market. Read through all the stories on this site, look at before and after pics and make yourself aware of all the complications. I think a lot of private surgeons also tend to work for clinics these can sometimes increase the price of going private and you can get the same thing with the same person just cheaper through a larger company. The private clinics also sometimes have less aftercare. Again this is not always the case and this is why you need to research research research, Money isn't everything and I wouldn't always go for a cheap option. Give yourself and your body time to get back to normal as hormones etc need to get back to normality. Do plenty of research while your waiting. Look into the healing process afterwards as it can take a while to be able to lift anything such as your new baby. Saying all this, it's the best thing I've ever done. Everything has gone well so far and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Congratulations on your baby. Take your time and don't make hasty decisions or part with any money until you are sure. Best wishes

Hey

I don't mean to sound rude, but should you not wait a bit longer til you're body has totally settled down from having your daughter? (congrats by the way) coz my boobs took so long to go down after having mine and you continue to lose your baby bulge for a while yet? I'm not a surgeon but i would of thought your results could be impaired by having it done too early as if you lost more breast tissue the skin would sag round the implant???

See a few people... i think a lot of people favour there own surgeons but you need one your comfortable with. I went to Spain for mine, the company are English though and all the aftercare is done in England.. They were fab.. Mills and Mills.

I do think you should tell them how young your daughter is though as i'm sure they'd know more about whether or not you'd get what you want?

You are not being rude at all, thats very sound advice.
I DID wonder if I should wait until I have lost all the baby weight, that was one of my questions.
You may have saved me some money by learning that after paying for a consultation.
I'll keep on reading these boards until then, and perhaps come back for some more advice.
Thanks for taking the time to respond

Hello

hi
how are you?
i had my ba on thursday 18thjune i went to poland to have mine done.i did some research on the clinic before going i know its a long way to go but i saved alot of money(about 2 grand)and i had a little break from work and the kids .the operation, flights, accomadtion for me and my boyfriend and still saved 2 grand.i did go and see someone in england just to see what they said before going to poland and the surgeon in poland said the same thing(i had a capsular contraction that needed sorted plus wanted bigger implants)so i would think about paying alot when you can get the same operation for less abroad.
if you have any more questions then please just asked

Hello and welcome

I think you should wait a little longer as your baby is little and your body is still recovery from the birth! PLus ask yourself this will u have anymore children in the future!! If the answer is NO then give it a few months and then book for some consultations... I went to Hos!!!al G@@up, Harley Medical and Mya!

After the consultatiions, looking at aftercare and surgeons I decided to go with MYA! I am booked with Mr Chatarasak in Highgate London on 7th July next tuesday eek. I have waited 12 years for this op I have had 3 kiddies and breastfed them all and i am excited!! There is a website and a voucher for £500 off the BA procedure if you go with MYa and you can haggle with them I did

The surgeon is the most important issue in all this read lots, ask lots of questions and there is lots on this forum to read on...

Hope this helps

Good luck alana
