My experience...
Hello im new to this forum and everything on here was so helpful, I thought I should give something back and hopefully help others. Ok just to prepare everyone, this is going to be a long long story
Im 5ft 4, was a 32A/B, size 8 dress, weigh just under 8 stones and asian (oriental) ethnicity. I had 220g, high profile - round, partial unders with Dr Norman Waterhouse at MyBreast. My experience is somewhat drastic and rather last minute sort of thing. Ive always wanted larger breasts and though about it for many years, practically everyone around me has had it done and have been encouraging me lol. someone close by had recently had her BA with Transform and I had considered going with them but after many many research, I decided to go with Mybreast. I called MyBreast and originally wanted to have my consultation and ba with Simon Withey (no particular reason why I chose him, just randomly picked him through their website lol) But was told he was fully booked until a few months. I spoke to Emma a patient adviser who seemed very friendly and stressed to her how much I really wanted small natural implants, she was really understanding and recommended me Dr Waterhouse giving me his credential and background. as Ive done my research and read about him I didnt mind so much and was booked in for a consultation and a BA the following week. Whiles meeting Dr. Waterhouse he gave me his full opinion on realistic outcomes and results and personally recommended me the 220g for my small frame and structure (which will bring me up to an average C-cup hopefully) I wont lie - it did seem REALLY small but I gave him my complete trust and judgement, and funny enough my friend who went with transform had 230g (overs) which I though was a perfect size and look for her, so I could somewhat expect the same result. HOWEVER he recommended to have them placed under the muscle which I was quite adamant about because of all the painful experiences ive read, but again he told me the best and lasting result for a natural look was to have it placed unders. So again I agreed like a good little girl lol
Onward a week later I had my Ba - which was yesterday the 1st of july 2009 My ba was at St Johns & St Elizabeth hospital in London, appointed theatre time was 12:30pm but didnt get seen until later so I was just lounging around watching TV in my own personal room which included an on-suite bathroom! (I was an overnight case) I was really lucky that I found this forum and Lookyourbestuk (another excellent forum with details on others experiences) that I knew what to expect and what to bring. The nurses there was lovely and friendly and while patently waiting I ordered my meals for dinner and breakfast for the following day. Finally when my time came I wore the whole garb - hospital gown, robe and paper knickers. Spoke to the anaesthetist who was really friendly and explained to me his role and job in the surgery and then my PS came and went through my consultation agreement and expected results. I waited a little while more until a nurse came and took me down to theatre - through the whole experience I didnt really feel anything neither scared or nervous, rather I just wanted the whole thing to be over and done with. The main operating theatre had an adjoining room where I was to be put to sleep and wheeled to the surgery. At that point the time was close to 3pm I spoke to another nurse who would be assisting in the surgery until the anaesthetist came and put me to sleep. A while later I was woken up in the recovery ward feeling the tightness sensation around my chest, it wasnt extremely painful jus unpleasant, I still felt drowsy at this point so kept on having to be woken up by the nurse lol. she gave me antibiotic and pain killers and then fitted my sports bra on. I was wheeled back up to my room where I somehow manage to slide across to my bed and fell asleep. My blood pressure was checked on regularly every half an hour or so and was asked if I was able to eat dinner yet. I wasnt particularly hungry but though I needed the food for recovery and energy so I manage to eat the whole meal which was delicious. The hours continued with me falling asleep and getting checked on throughout the night and the following morning. I spoke to my PS early morning who checked up on me and said everything went fine and gave me a following check-up appointment for the following week and told me I was recovering really well and asked how I was getting home etc. he then left and the anaesthetist came and told me the medication I will be taking home, what to take etc. - really helpful. And so I was discharged and my friend came and picked me up at 11am. I wasnt feeling too bad so we decided to go the park and chill for a couple of hours lol (not before calling the nurse and making sure it was alright of course!)
the whole experience was surreal, i cant believe ive finally went through it, i hardly feel any pain which is great! just a slight tightness. it could be down to how small i went or that i had good muscles there? ( read on others discussion on this forum) the overview are that my breasts are quite high and still obviously swollen to the side (as to be expected with unders, told it would take roughly 6 weeks - more or less till they start drooping to form a more natural feel and look).
woah. sorry for the long essay but ill be sure to keep everyone updated!
