Uni student...can i go back to uni a month after i get a breast lift?

heya

I'm a 19 year old at uni, and I have decided I really want to get a breast lift. I'm a size D, but they are pretty saggy with big areola. I am not confident enough to get intimate with people because of my breasts, and because of bad past experiences. I lost weight when I was 15 and things went south from there.

Basically, does anyone have any reccomendations for breast lifts abroad? I can't afford them here! And are they safe? Are the results the same? Also, if I get them done in september, I'll have a month before I go back to uni in october: is this an OK amount of resting time|? And how long do the scars take to settle down (ie not be raised)??

Any feedback would be much much appreciated!

Thank you

Sisi xxx

Hi

i had a full anchor uplift last september, i would say you need a good 3 weeks until you start feeling like moving about too much, although, i was ok if careful after a couple of days.
like the other lady says, i would try to wait to have surgery in the UK - i had mine done in manchester with a fantastic surgeon, but the journey home 50 miles was enough !!!!! - i really wouldn't have been confident hopping on a plane ........
if you need any more info on anything, please give me a shout -
understand how you feel though, i had battled for over 12 years !!!

I'm so grateful for all this advice!

Hiya

It's such a relief to hear from people who have been through these things, I have mentioned it to my mum and she hit the roof!

How much did your surgery cost you (the uplift?) and are you pleased with the results??? I was considering doing it in Belgium, cos you can travel by Eurostar and it's just a couple of hours...

And yeah i realise i am being slightly irrational about the whole thing! But gads it is sooo nice to hear from others who have had boob jobs!

Thanks ladiess!! xxxx

Thanks so much guys!

Wait hun

I know how desperate u are to get them done asap, but I would wait until you have finished uni and can afford to have them done here.

It can be very stessful getting them done abroad...uplift surgery is more serious than breast augmentation. Have u spoken to your gp? You might be able to have them done on the NHS.

I'm only saying wait, as I was in the same position as you and I'm glad I waited. As now I have a great boyfriend to stick by me and support me through it, as it is very hard during the first few weeks. Buy yourself some lovely new bras to boost your confidence and lift your boobs for the time being...

Thanks for the advice!!

I knowww it's just so hard when everything feels like it's on hold until I get this done! It's just like, i've been dealing with this for 4 years now and I HATE IT, and just want to change it!

Did you get a breast lift? How difficult was it? Why was it so hard??

I want to speak to a doctor, but my gp is so patronising and I know she'll just tell me "oh you're so young, don't resort to surgery."

Grrr I don't know what to do...!

thanks though! xxxx

You're welcome

When I said I was on the same position as you I meant being in uni etc...

I had BA that's all and that was hard enough

When you do decide to go ahead, just make sure you do LOADS of research into the company AND surgeon...

hope this helps! xx
