Wen is it ok to use scar serum and remove steri strips??

Hey im one week PO and had tissue glue used to seal the wounds and was wondering when it is ok to use scar serum?? Also had steri strips put on but wasnt told how long to keep them on for and I dont have a check up or anything as I had it done in antwerp so any1 know whether ur ment to change them or just remove them? When i left the surgeon wasnt even going to put them on put changed his mind last minute so i dont think its essential to them strips on as its tissue glue but not sure how long is long enough??

Don't do anything with it sweetheart. two weeks is usually when the nurse takes dressings off. You will get an infection if you do...please just wait another week as it takes at least 12 days for skin to heal...I know I have had 8 wounds...leave them well alone...want to know anything else just ask x x

I dont hav a follow up appointment i had mines done is antwerp. He wasnt going to even going to put them on in the first place but changed his mind just before I left as I didnt hav a sports bra yet. I dont hav any stiches near there anyway so im thinking it cant be that important if he wasnt going to put them on? Plus he said the tissue glue will start falling out in the shower at first and it cant do that if i steri strips on???

If you dont have any follow up appointments maybe you should go and see a nurse at your dr surgery, she might be able to dress your scarrs. If you dont mind me asking where did you go to have yours done and which surgeon? can you ring him and ask him for a follow up appointment. take care xxxx
