Don't always believe you need an uplit!

Hi ladies

I have small empty boobs after breast feeding but probably my 2stone weight loss had the worst effect on them!

Been told by 3 surgeons I needed a full uplift and implants! Really, really didnt want to have my nipples cut!

I have seen 6 surgeons and the remaining 3 said my nipples are in an ok position - my breasts are just empty and yes have sagged because they are empty!

The name for this is glandular ptotis.

I very nearly signed on the dotted line to have a full uplit before I thought I should have another consultation (this was number 3) and am so glad I did!!!

Also it is well documented that an uplift and implants at the same time have the highest rate of dissapointment. It's better to have the implant first and then, if necessary and uplift.

So if your surgeon says you need an uplift make sure you ask them about the position of your nipples in relation to your breast crease.

Glandular ptotis (ie sagging) is different from real ptotis (sagging) which unfortunately does require an uplift.

So I have booked my sugery for 5 Aug - just now deciding on profile of implants.

Hiya

This is so true, I was told at my first consultation that I needed a full uplift but refused due to all the scarring. Then I went for the 2nd with Mr Singh through Mya and he sorted me out straight away with areola reduction an lift with low profile implants. I am currently over 2 weeks post-op and they look totally different, more pert, round and the nipples are in a higher position!!

Wow

Wow thanks for that info!!

Your right too, I had an up lift and implant 6 months ago and I need to go in again on July 29th for another lift!

Makes me feel better now I have read your post I was worried the lift wouldn't work again but after reading this I have more faith it will!

Well done your hard work and research has paid off!

Hi

I had 2 bas 2 years apart the second due to problems (double bubble) i was told i was borderline sagging so i could have gone either way i stupidly went for the implants both times to save scarring...i had to have my 3rd BA with full anchor lift 6 months ago as the last implant were to big so i could only go smaller?.. and im so happy i did...they are perky and full and i can go bra less its fab...the scars can hardly be seen.
