Dont worry

i cant offer any advice as my ba is in 13 days!!! But just think how happy you will be, and i havn't heard any horror stories on here at all!! i have been on the same rollercoaster and sometimes have actually thought is it the right thing to do - then i will get dressed or undressed and i hate it - so be strong and remember its your decision in the end and you will very happy like many others im sure

Take care

It's normal...

Hey claire,

I had my BA on Friday just gone and I was a complete wreck on the lead up to it, I was putting posts on here every day. I lost all my excitement, felt really low, anxious, weepy. And I am worlds worst worrier, I really went thru the 'what ifs' and the guilt of doing something entirely for myself. But when Friday morning came I was so calm, even at the hospital the nerves didn't come. Stomach went loopy when they came to get me but wasn't even fussed getting on table for anaethetic.

I don't do pain, question people about every movement they make if it involves my body, but I had overs and I am seriously in no pain. Get an odd stinging every now and then in my left boob where the drain was, but thats all. Can even brush my own hair lol.

The best advice i think i could give is for you to ask lilybon if she'll be your boobie partner. Me and suelily partnered up and it is great. We exchanged mobile numbers on here thru private messaging and text each other all day friday, and after. On the day you can think about all the other girls that have GONE thru it but to have someone GOING thru it with you on the same day is great.

Good luck, you wont need it, you'll be fine

weepy days

dont worry i had my ba done on friday and the week running up to it was a real rollercoaster youve come this far you obviously want it and i think most of us have had a moment like that. Dont worry too much about the pain thing the meds they give you will keep it under control. Im a bit of a softie and ive had unders which are more tender and im coping maybe some of this emotion is the dreaded pmt kicking in to add to your anxiety try to enjoy the experience and let us all know how you go on, nearly in the boobie club good luck xxxxxxxxx

Hiya

Dont worry I felt exactly the same, scared, teary and had terrible 2nd thoughts even though I knew it was what I'd always wanted. It's just last min nerves.
If it's what you want only you will know. But I think your probably just nervous. It's so much easier than you think it is.
You will be fine, try to keep busy, to take your mind off it all.
Dont worry, it being that time of the month wont affect your BA or the pain. Just makes you more teary and emotional than you would be normally. Stay strong. It's so worth it in the end. The best thing I have ever done.
