Piercings and surgery

Hi girls, just wondering if any of you girls have body piercings and what you did abt them at the time of your surgery?? i have my nose,eyebrow,lip and stomach pierced, am i going to have to remove all my piercings or will they let me use the plastic bio piercings just to keep certain piercings from closing up?? xXx

hi you have to remove all piercings before you go down, as soon as i got back from surgery i put my belly bar back in..x

I was told to remove piercings. earings and belly bar also my wedding and engagment ring.I was told its because of the machines they have to hook up to you whilst having surgery. Electric currents been able to flow through metal.

they asked me did i have piercings and if so have i removed them all, i dont know about the plastic ones tho but think if they let u use them u wont be able to have ur lip one in and stomach cos they got to put tube in ur mouth so they wouldnt want to damage somet, just ask the about the plastic ones, but u should be able to put them back in oncd u have had ur surgery, just think its while they do it..are u getting excited now babe how many days is it now about 31 x x

34 and counting...OMG!!!!! hehe cant cope with the excitement nomore lol,ive gotmy pre op on thursday so i'll ask the nurse, i already have a plastic barin my lip, ihopethey let me keep it in becoz lip piercings healwithin a cpl of hours so i dnt think id get it back in, same with my eyebrow n realy dont wanna be forkin out another £50to replace them :s i'll beg and plead lol,im gonna ask mr giovinazzo, he took a big interest inmy tattoos lol, just want it done now aaaarrrrrrggghhhh lol xXx

hi i had my ba on wed and ive got noselip belly ear and the bit inside the ear.i had to take them all out as dont want it to come out except my ear they taped as no one cld undo it. My lip closed up and i had to force it bk in when i cld move my arms x

Did you ask about the plastic retainers?? ive searched the net today and they all say that as long as the piercings dont carry metal at the time of surgery, theres no problem, so im goin to ask the nurse or whoever i see on thursday xXx

hia yeah i did as my piecer said they would allow it but spoke to p.s secetary who said they want them out incase in the unliklihood it falls out esp lip because of the tubes.gd luck wasnt fun puting it back in lol x
