Stitches

Hi All,

I'm 4 wks post op, i had a BA and uplift. Since i had my stitches removed on day 7 i have been finding more stitches that i have had to remove myself. Basically the nurse cut them and pulled out the side that had the knot and some of the other bit has been left. I remember that the bed that i had to lie on was against the wall so it was hard for her to stretch over to see what she was doing properly but i've come across about 5 so far and i think i can feel another 2 remaining. Its as if my skin is rejecting them and pushing them to the surface but a couple of them are too low for me to get at without me breaking the skin around it. Luckily they are not infected in anyway. I do have my 4wk check tomorrow so will make them have a look but they're really hard to see so i don't want to be fobbed off. I wish i had kept them as proof but i threw the 1st few away and didnt think nothing of it but now that i'm still finding them 4wks later i think they should be aware of it.

Has anyone else had this?

I think that explains it

Hiya, I went for the knotts removed fom my stitches today as they were itching like mad. The nurse commented that I had lots of knotts on one scar and only one on the other I presumes that he'd had to do loads of little rows of stitches or something
I'd def mention it to them after all it's hard to see when your looking down at them or in the mirror at least they can get in there and have a proper look.....(and know what they'er looking at ) xxx
Happy healing xx

Blimey!!

Thats terrible!! You are very lucky that you have not suffered with any infection!!! Thank goodness you have a check up tomorrow love!!! Let us know how you get on!! Jo.x.
