2 days post op owch. any advice?

Hi Everyone,

I had my Ba 2 days ago, 325cc part unders at Spire Cardiff.I was a B/C before (I had amazing care! Will write more when feeling better)

Unfortunately all of the painkillers etc didnt agree with me that much and i was very sick afterwards, up until last night. Because my tummy is quite empty I am scared to take the stronger pain killers like tramadol incase I am sick again. Just taking paracetamol.

Where my stitches are feels so tight and uncomfortable and the skin feels very tight.

Can anyone offer advice, feel quite scared at the moment.

Thanku xxx

Hi

Aww i remeber feeling like that too. I asked my nurse about it and she said stop taking the codiene. As soon as i did i felt much better. Make sure you drink plenty of water to flush out the GA as that makes you feel sick too. Like the others have said, get lots of rest i promise you wont feel like this for much longer

My stitches used to feel like that when i was doing too much, or walking/standing up for too long.

I had 325cc's overs at spire in harpenden !! mine was over a year ago now though. I agree Spire were amazing.

xxxx

I had a ba 2 months ago

Hi i sympothise with you, the first 3-5 days are the worst!!! it felt like a sumo wrestler was sat on my chest!! It was hard trying to look after my 3 kids too, but my partner was amazing, The best thing you can do is try to eat some thing light i.e soup and take a painkiller with your meal, this should help the painkiller settle. After 6-7 days the skin will not feel as tight, but its a scarey sensation and trust me its the same for every one so dont let it get you down, your new breast's will be worth the pain!! My scar is hardly noticable and i love my new breasts i am so glad i had them done You will be up and about after 7-9 days and feeling so much better.

Hi

It does get better I promise!!!! I had 275cc partial unders 12 days ago. I too was very sick with the painkillers so just had to take paracetamol. I started to feel much better from day 6 or 7 so hang in there and just REST REST REST as much as you possibly can!! It WILL be worth it!!!!
Love Jo.x.

iv been takin that co-codiene however u spell it and i love it lol knocks me right out before bed iv been lucky as iv managed to cut my painkillers right down to like jus 4a day because i havent really had much pain which im suprised about because i had unders. i no what u mean about the scars being tight in my left boob i feel it pulling alot have them out monday tho. dont think theres much u can do about thm feelintight. on my aftercare sheet it says to avoid paracetomol as its got asprin in it and can cause bleedig but i dont no tht for a fact it jus what it says on my paper an i aint a doctor,
your only early days aswell ur start to feel alot better soon xxx

It will be ok xx

Hiya have also replied to you on Acq72's post. I was the same as you I was taking co-codamol and they made me feel very sick. It's the codeine in them it doesn't agree wiv averyone. I had 410cc unders and woke from the anaesthetic in agony. Just keep taking the paracetamol and keep an ice pack on them which eases it a lot. I was in agony for two weeks and rang the clinic in tears because of the pain but it did go and it will for you. you are only two days post op so the skin will feel tight and uncomfy also you will still have the bandages on no doubt which make them feel tighter.
If it gets too bad then ring your clinic and they will put your mind at ease. I am nearly 4 months post op and stil get the odd twinge now and again. chin up hun getting them done is an ordeal but it will get better xxx

Thanks for yr msg xx

Thank u so much for yr reply. It is scary not knowing whats normal but i guess everyone is different.. Im glad u are much better now and i hope u r really happy with yr new boobs!! xx

You'll get better soon!

it is so odd in the first few days as you don't really know what to expect! i only knew what to expect because i've been reading so many threads on the forums!
the tightness does go, just make sure you take it easy. once the local anaesthetic goes you'll probably find that you get pins and needles and shooting pains. i had really bad pains in my shoulders and back too, but you just need to take it east, rest rest rest as the ladies say! i'm day six now so just on paracetamol and the pain is ok, you just get used to all the funny feelings!
funniest thing i learnt is that your new boobs may make funny sounds! pops, squelsh and squeaks are all normal, its air that will be absorbed by the body. just hope noone hears it at work!!
