Antibiotics???

Hi everyone I have noticed that a lot of you after BA have had to take antibiotics? Does this apply for everyone? and do you have to take them as a precaution? Not having my BA till jan but nothinh was mentioned to me by the surgeon or my PC just wonderedif you girlies can give me any info thanks xx

Yes! I had 3 days of antibiotics after BA. But along with the co codamol and ibuprofen, the mixture of the 3 made me sick so who knows if any was actually absorbed!!!!!

Yes I had to take antibiotics for three days and was also given some in theatre as a precaution.

i was given antibiotics to take for 5 days and given some in theartre its just a precaution so stop any infection x

I'm going to ask for them even if I'm not offered, cause it helps cuts to heal quicker and it's a prevention of infection xx

different surgeons have different opinions on antibiotics, im 5 days post op now and was given a 1 weeks packet of antibiotics. Makes me feel more reassured also thta if there is any infection at least it dosnt hav time to develop. xx
