Worried

Ok so I have my first ever consultation on sat 28th nov and dont really know what to expect.
I know they will ask about my health which is what i am worried about!
Two years ago i had scoliosis (The curvature of the spine) And I had two titanium rods put it my back.
Also a year ago I found a lump in my right brest ( I am 18) I had a test done and they came back fine and it was just a cist.
Will any of these matter?xx

It depends

hiya hun sorry to hear of ya troubles u have had in the past with ur spine and stuff, but when u have ur consultation just talk through everything with him/her, as for the cist, i was talking to a woman who was having her 2nd consult and she was worried cos she had a cist and it needed draining regular, and she was told on her first consult that she wouldnt be able to have overs due to needing the cist drained, and she was having her 2nd consult to see if she got the go ahead, but think it also depends on where abouts the cist is...also my friend had her ba 10yrs ago and due to having breastcancer scar has had them replaced and lucky to say she dint have breast cancer and her implants were intact when they were removed, there is no proven link to having implants and then getting breast cancer, but the one thing they do say is if ur family history is prone to having breast cancer then its best that u have under the muscle as it is easier for if u ever have to have a mamagram..

hope all goes well for u hun and fingers crossed the cist isnt a problem x x

Hi

I had BA 9 days ago.
On my first consultation they checked my breasts for any lumps.
He said if I had any he won't be able to do BA.
I have a feeling if you had a cist, surgeons won't want to play with your breasts as you are already prone to developing cists.
I think its up to the surgeon but don't think mine would of done the surgery.
Some say if you have implants there is a higher rist for breast cancer anyway but its debated and that's why I don't think they would do it.
There are so many greedy surgeons so I'm sure you will find one who will do it anyway but please read up about it because if it increases the risk of developing more cists then its not really worth doing. Your health is more important. Good luck.

My cist was tiny and was on the nipple ( well not on it but was on the cirlce where the nipple was on)
No breast cancer i know of in my family history.
Fingers crossed they will be able to do it xx
