Smartlipo

Back in July I had Smartlipo on my love handle areas that I can just never get rid of. I had the treatment in a London clinic and they said that I would see results from approx 1 month onwards. It has been exactly 3 months since the treatment and I can see no affects at all and there has been no change to my body shape - i measure the area often. I am worried that I have paid out a considerable amount of money for nothing. The clinic keep telling me to be patient and I am due back to see them next week again. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Has anyone had Smartlipo and it hasnt worked at all?
Thanks

Smartlipo at bodyperfectclinic

HI

I DID A LOT RESEARCH ON THIS NEW PROCEDURE HAVING READ ALL THE COMMENTS.

I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURERS OF THE SMARTLIPO AND THEY RECOMMENDED DR CHOUDHURI. I WAS TOLD HE IS THE ONLY OFFICIAL SMARTLIPO TRAINER IN THE COUNTRY AND HAS DONE 100'S OF PROCEDURES.

I WENT FOR A CONSULT HAD A FULL MEDICAL AND HISTORY TAKEN. HE WAS REALISTIC ABOUT WHAT COULD BE ACHIEVED AND TOLD ME THE FASTEST RESULT WAS SEEN IN 6 WEEKS AND THE LONGEST IT TOOK ANYONE WAS 12 MONTHS!

I WAS GLAD HE WAS HONEST ABOUT THE RESULST WHICH REASSURED ME. I WENT FOR 2 OTHER CONSULTS BUT TEH OTHER DOCTORS WERE EITHER NOT INTERESTED OR JUST PUSHY

ON THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE I HAD MY STOMACH DONE AND HAD 1 LITRE OF FAT SUCKED OUT. I FELT SORE BUT WAS OK WITH PARACETEMOL. I TOOK 2 DAYS OFF WORK AND HAD SOEM BRUISING

I WORE A COMPRESSION GARMENT FOR A WEEK AND CAN ALREADY SEE SOME FLATTENING!

WITH ANYTHING I WOULD SAY DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BE REALISTIC.

Trying to decide where to have smart lipo done

I have provisionally booked a date for the end of the month to have upper and lower abs done with Dr Choudhuri, however i have recently learnt that bodysmooth are doing it for £700 cheaper. Having the procedure done properly is more important to me though. Pls advise and update me on your results. thanks

Vaser lipo

hi

after having two kids i was left with a small jelly belly, i did all my reserach on smart lipo but when i went for my consult i was told about vaser lipo this uses ultrasound technology and they aslo suck out some fat aswell.

The result is instant and although i wouldn't say 'wow' i now no longer have a 'jelly belly' but a samll 'pot belly'!!! lol - need to do some sit ups

i'ts been 6 wks and i would say on the whole i look better then before

Smartlipo wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooo yeah

Sorry to hear you haven't had the results you wanted. I am a Smart lipo success and i don't want you to be discouraged by this. Like all treatments everyone reacts differently, although i have no idea what happened in your case. I went to a clinic in Northampton...the Townshend Skin Clinic. I went there on a referral (a friend had her double (now single) chin done there).

In a nutshell. I had it, it was good and i will be having again. If you weren't happy with the results, discuss this with the doctor or go somewhere else. You do not have to live with love handles...banish them.

Vaser lipo..........the way to go!

You must be one of the few. Most experiences you read on the forum are very negative. I had vaser lipo with fantastic results.......I also had smartlipo twice with no results! Have a look at my photos on Selston Cosmetic website and see for yourself!

Smart lipo

Last August my friend and I had smartlipo at the Norton Clinic in Wakefield, I have two areas on my abdomen treated and she had three areas the abdomon and chin area, which they said they have had some very good results. We found no difference at all in any of the areas and we are one year on now. We went back for a consultation recently and the surgeon who carried out the procedure agreed that our measurements were exactly the same. They said they would re treat the areas, but if we want aspiration we will have to pay more. We have already paid £7000 between us and feel loathe to have the procedure redone without the aspiration, because we know it does not work. When we telephone them to ask for recompense or retreatment of the areas with aspiration with no extra charge they say they will phone back but never do, so we are both at a loss.

Waste of time

i had it really was a waste of money . i think it only works in areas like chin knees an ankles , traditional lipo is far better for everything else

Smartlipo - good result on knees

I had Smartlipo on my knees by Dr Bea Brookes of Viridian Medical at the end of April 2008. I had suction, and initially there was only a small amount of difference, but now, 9 weeks later, the results are very good and I have less fat on the insides of my knees and a better shape on the leg above.

I put a lot of research prior to my treatment and had already decided that I would only go ahead with someone qualified and experienced who could show me their results with other patients.

My consultation with Dr Brookes was totally unhurried and I was given all the information I needed without any pressure to go ahead. I actually decided to book the treatment while I was there as I felt very comfortable and confident in the information I was given. I feel that I was given a very realistic expectation of what could be achived and of the treatment itself (which I don't think is a "lunchtime lipo" treatment as it is often billed!. I was shown pictures of previous patients who had given permission, and given the option to make contact if I wanted to.

The procedure was slightly odd and occassionally uncomfortable but not at all painful. I was a bit stiff around the knees the next day, but not enough to stop me going to work.

I was contacted by Dr Brookes' secretary Ann to check I was ok after a couple of days and Dr Brookes also e-mailed me a week or so later to check all was well. I feel that the level of care I have had has been excellent.

I am going back in a few weeks and, if it is considered safe, may have injection lipolysis to improve the results. I am also going to book in for Smartlipo on my inner thighs.

If you are thinking of going ahead with Smartlipo do your reseach and check out the practitioner. I paid a consultation fee which was well worth the money as I was given a lot of time to ask questions and find out everything I wanted to know without pressure. Ask to see pictures of previous patients and if you can contact somebody who has had the same area done.

If you are being pushed into a quick decision think twice - a good doctor doesn't need to do this.

If anyone wants any further details please e-mail me and I will be happy to answer any questions.

Smart lipo / vaser

five weeks ago, I had smart lipo on my neck/chin and smart lipo with vaser on my upper and lower abs, love handles, inner thighs, and outer thighs, total cost was $15,000. I was told it could take up to 6 months to see the final results, so far I've lost about 6 pounds and my thighs are a lot smaller, my upper abs also look good, my lower abs still look swollen and I can feel tightening of the skin every day, I'm still waiting for my chin to get smaller. I go walking at least 3 miles everyday. I think it's too soon to make any decisions about how good it has turned out, if my chin doesn't go down anymore, I will be pretty disappointed.

Explain??

can someone pls explain to me the difference between smartlipo and normal liposuction??

Rip off lipo

My sister, her friend and I had smartlipo with Dr Adubi in February 2007. We still have no results at all. He even had the cheek to suggest we took slimming tablets to help 'get rid of the fractured fat' and wanted to charge us for them. I think smartlipo is a rip off, it might work for some but for 3 women in the early 50's
it did absolutely nothing. I had 4 area's whilst my sister had 5, so you can imagine the costs. We have now been back to see Dr Adubi about 6 times and he tries to convince us there are changes, but I measure and weigh
myself regularly and there are no changes. We go back again today to demand to have the treatments again with suction, free of charge. I doubt very much that he will agree, so where do we go from here?

Smartlipo

Failure of Smartlipo process is very rare. Smart lipo is not for everyone. Certain individuals are not encouraged to seek out treatments, such as those with diabetes, liver problems, blood disorders, kidney problems, heart problems, and skin disorders. Sharing your past health experiences and concerns with your skin care doctor is a great idea since he or she will need to be fully aware of any risks associated with treating you. Here is the link to one of the specialists, consult him. Hope you will find it helpful...

Failed smartlipo

Hi, yes i has smartlipo on my stomach and inner thighs at the beginning of january, like yourself i have seen absolutley no results. I am a size 10, i exercise for an hour a day and eat very healthily my surgeon told me that u would be the perfect candidate for this treatment as it is just targets excess fat and is not a treatment for obseity. I was advised that it would take 3 months before results would show - yet i see no change only 3 scars around my belly button. I have since learned that this procedure is rarely effective wothout 'suction' and there are a lot of stories of failed smart lipo on the internet since. I am due to see the doctor who performed this treatment on me on Wed but i dont hold out much hope of any kind of compensation - i have spent £3000 on this - the whole of my savings as i was truly made to beleive it would be the answer to all body worries. there are hundreds of stories like mine just wish i'd have discovered them before i spent the £3000

Failed smart lipo

Hi!!You are not alone...........like you said, its many of us out there with no results.
Where did you go? Hope you are joining our group..

Smart lipo

Are you talking about the traditional smart lipo that failed to give you the results that you expected or was it smart lipo with aspiration? as i am thinking of going for smart lipo with aspiration to Dr Krish Nulliah of body smooth, has anyone heard anything about him???. i am really confused

Dr krish nulliah

Oh and this was Dr Krish Nulliah of QClinic Harley Street London??
