Smartlipo
Back in July I had Smartlipo on my love handle areas that I can just never get rid of. I had the treatment in a London clinic and they said that I would see results from approx 1 month onwards...

No results
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I also underwent smartlipo to my knees at the beginning of May and so far I've seen zero results. I feel completely duped as I also paid out what I consider to be a substantial amount of money. There seems to be more and more clinics in the UK offereing Smartlipo but very little if any feedback can be found by searching on the internet. I believe that Smartlipo in the USA is more effective because they suction the fat out at the same time, whereas in this country it's left in to be gradually absorbed by the body.I think that without suctioning the fat, the results are very poor indeed !

Smartlipo
My Sister had smart lipo on her inner thighs a year ago .... she has had zero results!!
I have just got back (3 days ago) from having liposculpture and would recomend it if you have areas of fat that will not shift!

My smart lipo has been brill
I had smart Lipo on my knees 2 months ago. Dr Lucy Glancy carried out the procedure at East Bergholt Clinic in Essex. She seemed to use a mixture of tecniques, local anesthetic, the laser procedure but then she used suction to remove the fat (there was a lot).I wore the compression garment for several weeks ( advised by other members of staff who had had it done) and there was a fair amount of bruising . Before pics were taken so I can see the original. I have just been for follow up fat reducing injections ( painless)and will have some more in a few weeks. Dr glancy is amazingly conciencious and I have had remarkable after care. The staff and nurses are most caring and personable. I am more than happy with the results and will be going back in the new year for midriff work.

The question is would Smart lipo have worked without the suction and I think you would probably agree that smart lipo as a stand alone treatment doesn't work. I'm glad you are happy with your results, you obviously saw a Dr who knew what she was doing!

Smartlipo last april and december
I just wanted to share my story after reading yours. Myself, my fiance and my best friend, all took the plunge last April and had Smartlipo. Between us we had jowels, neck, abs, flanks, inner and outer thighs which cost us £11,000. We went to a reputable Surgeon, in the best place in London. (Not sure if you can mention any names?) After months of meetings, and arguing with the Doc, he finally admitted that none of us, that is 100%, had NO result whatsoever. We wanted a refund, my fiance was adament about it. The doc asked us to allow him to re-do the whole procedure as he couldn't understand why none of us had a result, so in the end myself and my friend agreed to go through it again and persuaded my fiance too. He refused to have his face done again as it hurt so bad he went into shock!!!
So to cut a long story short, we all went through the procedure, with the pain and following discomfort again!! What fools!! As you can probably predict, none of us once again have had any result. We are meeting with the Doc later this month, and are prepared for a fight.
Does anyone out there know our rights??? Do we have any chance of getting any money back?? Can somebody sell you a service that so obviously doesn't work and not expect to compensate? We all feel sick that we have paid a man to mutilate our body and want some retribution.
Sorry for ranting, but since reading all the forums over the last two days, its clear weve all been used as guinea pigs!!
I would like to hear from anybody else that has failed smartlipo so I can build up a dossier.
Thanks x

Good luck
It should be said that you are probably like the most of us hard working members who have used there life savings to have this surgery and rightly so should be offered recompense or the chance to redo the surgery? But having had the surgery myself you will probably not want the surgery again because of the discomfort and should be offered your money back

Smartlipo doesnt work
Had a smartlipo on my jelly -belly with SUCTION 2 months ago done by a SURGEON It was a bit painful i would say and i have seen a bag full of my fat!!!!!!!! But my belly is bigger now. I dont eat much since i ve done it trying to help the procedure work , lost about a kilo or so ( was 54 kilo when i had it done). Still i cannot see any good changes. My belly IS BIGGER then it was!!!!! I dont think its a doctors fault I HAVE SEEN THE FAT SUCKED OUT!!!! But i think just i should have done a classic liposuction- it does work for everyone ( all my friends have done it and there is a big change to see)

Not so smart lipo
Im living in ireland having read your story mine is exactly the same-i had my uppper arms done last may in dublin but company were west one from England like you absolutely no difference-surgeon actually admitted on seeing my arms the second time that treatment had not worked & wouldnt work i said i wanted my 2,500 refunded he said it was an administration issue in the end they said they would only give me 800 back but like you asked me to have treatment again which i did in Feb theres absolutely no difference except that this time they did what they call aspiration which means they took some fat from my arms but the bingo wings as i call them are as bad as ever its so fustrating isint it. To be offered 800 having spent 2,500 is just not good enough. Eve

Smartlipo does not work !
I am so shocked to read all these stories of people - like me, sadly - who have paid thousands of pounds for SmartLipo and have seen absolutely no results whatsoever. It's a disgrace. I did research before my treatment in October, and there were no web stories / blogs / discussions about this then. If I had seen them, I would not have wasted my money. I have just written to the owner of the clinic in Kensington where I had mine done to see if I can get a refund. It may well be that we all need to get together, get legal representation - no win, no fee - and see what we can do. We can't just shrug it off - it's wrong.

Smartlipo - what a rip off
I had Smart Lipo a year ago, i spent 3K on 3 different areas.
It did not work for me either, as like many people on this forum.
Has any one gone for compensation, or spoke to the clinic for a refund. My clinic dont want to know, can anyone offer any advise.

Smartlipo still not working
I had smartlipo a year ago,(uk) it has worked on small areas, I had a fatty small bit at the base of my spine, it only bothered me, that has gone, I had inner thigh, this has worked on only a small area, about 3cm each side of where the canular went in, my inner thigh is bigger than this! Tummy, not able to see any difference, bank balance yes! a difference, a wopping reduction of £3,000 not quite the reduction I was after. I think this may be good for a very small area like chin, but it's just not up to larger area's. Has anyone gone on to have normall liposuction, what was the recovery? Cost? Results?
