All good so far
Hi I had my BA with MyBreast on 24th Feb, consultant Neil Bulstrode at St Johns Wood London. I chose them because I had researched that their aftercare package was the best (hope I never need it). I think MyBreast are quite new compared to some others. MyBreast have open evenings, you could try going along to one where you can meet the consultants. MyBreast only do breast augmentations so I liked the fact that they specialised in the one procedure only.

Bad experience
I have my BA 3 weeks ago in St Johns Wood Hospital through MY BREAST, although i am so far happy with my new friends i must admit that the service recieved was not far from terrible!
I had my consultation and 2 weeks after i booked my BA and managed to get a cancellation 2 weeks later so it all went quite quickly! I arrived at the hospital at 7 am as requested (was a day case) but did not go to theatre until 10.45 am so as you can imagine i was a bag of nerves when it was time to go. Had the op and then came around back at my room feeling extremely ill as the GA really made me sick. Elbert the nurse looked after me who was lovely but i was offered no advice what so ever on how to bathe, how long i would need to keep the micro foam on for, how to sleep, i was not even given an emergency number to call should i have a reaction to tablets or anything, they basically expect you to know this.
I stayed at the hospital under elberts watchful eye for 4 hours after surgery, Mr Hamilton my surgeon popped in for a matter of seconds to see how i was but to be honest all i wanted to do was sleep and then the anaetheasiologist popped in and again she was in such a rush she was there for no more than 30 seconds to see if i still felt sick and then she disappeared leaving no advice never to be seen again, my husband then came to collect me. I was given a bag of pain killers and anti biotics and then left the hospital. No information to do with the tablets was explained to me what so ever, i was not given any emergency number to call should i have bad side effects - i was literally allowed to just leave! BOY oh BOY was my side effects bad to the tablets NOT THE BA, the anti biotics and pain killers had me in bed for 2 days with high temperature / sickness and diorreah but again i was not given a number or anyone to call and the lady who took my booking did not return my calls when i called her and left message on her voice mail.
3 weeks on i called the hospital because my micro foam that should of come off a week ago started to cause sores (feeling was like sun burn) all over my chest and was fusing to my skin and the reaction i got from the lady on the phone was less that sympathetic, i was told an investigation would be launched and i would be contacted, i did recieve a sorry that was far from genuine though!
I have also had all of my follow up appointments changed twice but i am finally going back next week!
Really i believe you should be contacted by Mybreast after a week of surgery for a catch up - to me that is custoemr care, customer care is not what i recieved at all!
I have had friends that have had BA with other companies that said their after care was great and the whole experience was of having BA was good so at other companies they obviously believe that after care is an essential part of their role.
I myself would not reccomend MYBREAST, in short and in my view they are good right up until you leave the hospital and thats where the service ends!

My breast
Hi
Exactly the same thing happened to me at MyBreast with Mr Liew. My BA is tomorrow but 5 days ago I wasn't even booked in at the hospital. Mr Liew had simply forgot to hand in the booking form to the hospital but had sent it to mybreast. They had told me this had happened once before but they were going to sort it out and assured me it will never happen again. Mr Liew is supposed to be a really good surgeon however he is really busy and sometimes slips up with the paperwork every now and again.
My mum is a nurse and she says all the best surgeons aren't very good at the day to day tasks such as booking appointments, so the mix up didn't put me off.

13th march
Hi, im having mine done at the Birmingham clinic next thursday with Mr Guy Sterne. he's such a great bloke. So far, they have been amazing and there aftercare package sounds great although my surgeon said that in all his years of experience he's never had to do a re-op after the 12 month period! Its nice to know the 5 years aftercare is there though. will let you know how i get on.

They're fab!!
Hey, I had my BA on 22nd Feb 2008 through MyBreast, with their Plymouth surgeon James McDiarmid. The whole process went really smoothly, their homecare pack was great, it had a little folder with the answers to all the questions I had, both pre and post op. I'm really pleased with the results so far, and would highly recommend James McDiarmid. If you've got anymore questions or want to see some pics (I had 360cc round unders) just let me know.

Hey linda
Feel really good actually, not nearly as painful as I expected! How about u? I'm back at work, driving, looking after the horses but not yet riding them. Went from small 32B-32D/DD, Its great having boobs hehe!
What did u think of JM? Thought he was a great surgeon and also had a good sense of humour!! Told me that a sports bra was optional during the day as my chest ,uscles were so tight that I could probably pogo-stick all the way home and they wouldn't move lol!
