What to expect?

I'm new to this forum although I have been reading some of your comments for a couple of months.

I've been wanting a ba for over 2 years and have finally plucked up the courage to book a consultation with Mr Khan at Tollerton (Nottinghamshire).

I really just wanted to know what to expect from the consultation... will he measure my boobies, draw on them etc..? I've heard his bedside manner isn't the best but that doesn't really concern me so long as he does a good job!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I didn't go with Mr Khan...so your consultation may be different to mine. I had mine done at the west yorkshire clinic in Bingley, my surgeon was Mr Foo.
On the first consultation he mainly talked to me about the downside of a BA .... he said he wouldn't talk to me about the advantages, as I knew about that already. He did examine me without any top on and just asked me loads of questions ( history illnes etc , stuff like that) ... & I think that was about it for the 1st consultation ..... Then, I think, you are supposed to go away and conssider everything that you have been told, and decide if it is what you really want. I wanted ... so I booked a 2nd consultation & that is when I got to try the different size implants in a bigger bra that he asked me to take along with me.

i had a consultation with dr khan, i was very nervous as i had be told he was quite abrubt but he was really nice. he asked me about where i lived and what i do for a living to put me at ease a bit. then you have to take your bra and top of and he will look at your boobs and then feel them (he was actually quite rough but nothing unbearable). I 4got to take out my chicken fillets first but he said dont worry, every women i see wears them, you wont need them much longer! then he asked me what size i wanted to be, i said i didnt know (was so nervous) so he said he'd give me 340 cc which should take me to a D. he should me the implant and held it up to me. he then asked me if i had any questions, i only asked if i was ok as a day case. then he encouraged me to ask more but i didnt have any, felt like a bit of an idiot really! The whole thing was very short, maybe 10 - 15 mins. but hes friendly and to the point. Only thing i would say which wasnt good is that i didnt really get long enough to look at the implant, or try it on in a bra. also he only showed be a 340, nothing else so felt abit like i had no choice and now i wish i'd asked about how a bigger implant would look coz after reading this forum i think id rather 380cc.
My suggestion to you would be have a bra size in mind and try to have an implant size range in mind so you can ask to see them.
well im booked in now so he cant have been that bad, and i know three girls who have been with him and look amazing so i dont really mind if hes not my best friend. But you definately need a paitent co-ordinator you feel comfortable with so you can ask her everything you forget to ask dr khan.

Thanks for that... I'm glad I'm not the only one who's feeling so nervous.

I have a great patient co-ordinator luckily and have already been bombarding her with emails so if I clam up on the day (which I know I will)I'll get in touch with her.

I'm really skinny up top (sticky out ribs etc) but have wide hips so think I'd be happy with a D or maybe even a DD just to even things out. I'm currently a 32 empty b. I'm 5'7 and weigh 9 and a half stone. Do you mind me asking what your stats are?

Im 5"9 and a 9 stone so we're not too far off each other. I have the same problem as you, Im slim all over but have wide hips and bum (they're probably not even that wide but on my slim frame they look massive!) I feel very bottom heavy and just want to be evened out. I wear size 10 trousers to fit my hips but only size 6 on top.
I am a 32b, but dr khan said they are tight, which i think is why he suggested 340cc.
But from reading these forums a lot of ladies say they wish they had gone bigger as fakes dont look as big as the real thing (i always thought it was the other way around!)
i wanted to be a dd, coz i know two girls who have gone to that size and are alot shorter and have narrower hips then me so think i could pull dd's off. but if they do look smaller then a real dd id rather aim for an e! what size are you hoping to get to?

I am 9 1/2 stone (size 12 top & bottom) ... 5ft 3ins .... I had 345cc partial unders ... Today I am wearing a 34DD sports bra ... Pre op I was wearing a 34c padded gel bra ... hope that helps
