Complaints - transform
Has anyone had to complain to Transform? If so how did you get on? I had my op on 30.03.08 - when the clocks went forward... so what happens, patients manage to get there ok but the surgeon doesnt! So was an hour delyaed going into surgery after leaving at 4:30am and was an hour late going home as he was still operating at 8:30pm! Everything went ok with the op, and the nurse from the hospital was excellent. Although would like to point out that the anethisist put the needle in my arm then started leaning acroos a table to get the anasethic, which hurt quite a bit and caused a trickle of blood down my arm! Anyway, my main concern was after care from Transform. I was inform that dressings could stay upto 10 days so my follow up app to have these off was on the 10th day. However, the nurse had food poisoning so my app was cancelled the night before (after booking time off work for this!). was told I would have a call within 2 days to re-book. 2 days later no phone call. As my dressings were getting old, irritating and lifted I decided to phone my nurse on the Saturday but her phone was off. Following that my mum ended up coming round to take them off for me as I was getting quite itchy and they were all lifted! When she took them off, had a panic attack and felt like I was about to pass out so had to sit down by my bedroom window! Monday night at 8:45pm got a call from the nurse to re-book my app. I told her I had already taken my dressings off blardy bla and she said, well Im seeing someone locally anyway so might as well book you in for a check. So booked app but if I hadnt taken dressings off, I would be 17days post op. Do you think thats bad of Transform or worth complaining about as they pride themselves on after care??
