"Buy another one" Posted by thessaloniki2 16 May at 15:16
If it means you are going to get a better nights rest then my advice would definitely be: buy another one .... maybe one that is one back size bigger than you need, especially for early days. If you are usually a 32, buy a 34 and so on. Good luck

"Its funny, i'm 2 days post op" Posted by dawniedoll1 16 May at 13:45
Different surgeons have different opionions. My surgeon said perserve if you can but do whats comfortable. I also found the mybreast one really tight, I think the problem is the band needs to give a bit. I had several bras ready, I have another one on at the moment and feel much better. Seriously though straight up my surgeon said what evers is comfortable.
I find the worst pain is when I stand up and the blood drops down to the incissions.

"Standing up!" Posted by helencooper 16 May at 13:49
Oh yes that's what happens to me too! Whenever I sit up quickly or stand up, they start to throb as if all the blood is rushing downwards. I guess that proves how important it is to sleep upright - the scars won't heal quickly if there's no blood there to work on the healing??

Mine was Wednesday, at Welbeck hospital in London. My back is KILLING me at the moment. I'm most comfortable when i'm walking around but there's only so much of that you can do around a 2 bedroom flat!!!

"Bra" Posted by helencooper 16 May at 13:44
My bra is killing me too - I would be so much more comfortable if I could just take it off to sleep It's a John Lewis Berlei one, it feel like it's sitting right on my scars and I'm worried it's so tight.
I might try and find a comfier one to wear at night, it feels like it's constricting my airways and giving me indigestion!
I've got 5 more nights of sleeping upright and I'm dreading it.

"I was also told about sleeping" Posted by dawniedoll1 16 May at 13:47
A couple of nights upright would do me the world of good but after that sleep however I am comfortable, isnt it funny how the opinions differ. I did sleep at about 45 degs last night and will do so again tonight. Two days post opp currently.

"Upright" Posted by helencooper 16 May at 13:53
Sorry, by "upright" I did mean about 45 degrees! I'm not as brave as I thought I would be, I don't think I would have got a minute's sleep if I'd been totally upright.
I've also found that my L-shaped pillow hasn't really helped. Perhaps I've got it at the wrong angle? I'm using it in an upside-down V position? Anyone else using one differently?
