Fake tan and scars??

I'm almost ten weeks post op from full uplift and BA. Do you think I'd be able to put fake tan on my scars. they have healed but are still a bit pink. I know I can't put them in the sun or under a sunbed but am looking very much like a milk bottle!!!!

Thanks Girls

Hi

HI Jackie

I had a spray tan done last thursay when I was 4 weeks post op. I joined a couple of plasters together and placed over my scars for the actual tan and when my tan lady had finished she just touched round the scars with some lotion on her finger. looks fine only thing was I put my bra back on after and hour and it put marks on my back but you are further on than me so you dont have to do the support bra thing anymore!
My only other tip would be to exfoliate as well as you can where you bandages were stuck. I havent scrubbed as hard as I normally would of around the wound area for obvious reasons and once my tan had developed the following day I could see shadows of where my bandages had been, weird!! (and uneven unfortunalty!!)

Hope this helps

Lou

Thanks

Thanks Lou

I was wondering about covering them up but thought I might end up like a patchwork quilt cos I have the anchor scars.

I might just do a patch test over the scars as they have healed and see how it goes. Either that or dust of my bikinis and book a holiday!!!!

Thanks

Fake tan

Hi Jackie
I went on hol 4 weeks PO last year and put fake tan on before I went and had no probs at all with it. I think as long as you have no broken skin you should be alright.

V xx

Thanks

Thanks ladies for your advice. May do the aptch test first before I take the plunge. one more question, does it disguise the scars or make them more prominent?

Jackie

Patch test

I would do a small patch test with a bit of fake tan on the scar, just a little bit to see if it reacts.
