Sticky strapping????

due to have my straps off tomorrow (possibly), and getting a little worried. (straps above and below, right across my chest). as they are sticky and stuck really well to my skin, i feel that when they take them off they will rip my skin off with it. do they use anything to help loosen the sticky? i tried to peel a bit away the other day at the top of my cleavage as was very uncomfortable and it was really hard work. im not a cry baby but just worried as boobs are really sensitive at the mo and sore.xxx

Hi yerous and everyone

how many days did you have to keep your bandages on for honey?
i had my ba in italy and am removing mine myself. i hate the thing!
lastnite (3day po) started to itch like mad, think it cos the swelling in my body is going down and feels losing, causing the friction?

i started picking at the edges and using bio oil to make it easier, then i trimmed the edges where it come off the skin.

i was told to keep bandages on for 5days (if i remember rightly) that is tomorrow.
so im thinking im gonna trim the edges a bit more cos it was diggin into my underarms.

dont understand why some girls on picturetrail are bandaged up like a mummy and others have no bandages at all???

does it depends if you have overs or unders? when i had unders many years ago i had just a bandage draped on me! this time with overs i am mummified.

good luck today with the bandages coming off

Bandages

dont know really why some people are bandaged up and others not.
went for my 7 day check up today and the nurse looked at my notes as i didnt know how long i was meant to have the bandages on for and to my shock it said for four days, so i could of took them off myself.
mind you i was really worrying about them coming off but it wasnt that bad really. i was really red underneath them.
feel alot better now they have come off as in my opinion they seem to restrict you.xxx

Thanks yerous

hell i cant keep away from this site, im using it more than b4 my ba.reop

think it cos i am just resting in bed, and have time on my hand, which im not used to

did your bandaging covered you totally from cleavage to below crease so that you could not see your new additions?

cos mine are, and i am terrified once bandage comes off what i might see!!!
i might not like what i see, i already trying to have a peek at them and i see my cleavage is very close and am terrified this is permanent without a bra. so im hoping once bandage comes off the cleavage wil spread a little! and implants wil drop a touch.

think im gonna just start peeling bit by bit over next few days, starting from the top!

Hi xxamberxx

my bandaging went across the top and across the bottom of my new additions, and it seemed to push them together.
i couldnt see much really only these nipples peeking through and one hell of a cleavage. today when the bandages came off the cleavage has got broader, but is fine. i had horrible thoughts going through my mind as i have wanted this for so long and i didnt want to look false, even when i woke up from the BA i wasnt sure what to expect, i thought i was going to be shocked and see a couple of mountains on my chest, but everything seems to be to my liking so far. they will soften and drop into place over time (dependant on unders or overs on the length of time). my friend had a look today and believe me she speaks her mind, she says for this early on they look good. hope this helps.xxxx

Sticky bandage

Hi

I took mine of myself at 8 days post op as it was on so tight it had actually cut into my skin on my armpit(That was 3 weeks ago and I still have the scar!)
It didnt hurt as I just eased it a little at a time.

Good luck
Lou

No worries

Yeah, you feel like you're covered in packing tape and it's bound to hurt, right? It's not at all bad, they take it slowly, and it just peels off bit by bit. They do it every day don't forget, you'll be fine. Good luck!

I had these too...

Hiya chick,

I had those sticky straps too and was probably more scared of them coming off than the BA itself! Don't worry too much, they didn't use anything to help take mine off although they do use alcohol wipes after to remove the sticky residue. Once they've got a corner up they'll take it off slowly and steadily holding your skin down and that didn't hurt. However if you have a strap along your cleavage line you should insist they take it off by pulling it down. She tried to pull mine up and it felt like she was waxing my chest! Once your tapes off it's smooth sailing hun, and your boobs won't feel so restricted and may even look a bit bigger. You've come this far, well done and I really hope it goes smoothly tomorrow.

Strap

I was told by the consultant that I'd need to keep the strap on for 2 weeks after the operation - allowed to take it off for one hour a day only. But I gather you only get 'the strap' (sounds like a punishment, doesn ... if you have unders as the strap keeps the implant in place whilst the muscle settles over the implant.
