Stitches itching - is this normal??!!

It's becoming almost unbearable, i only had my ba 3 days ago so i know i'm not gonna be back to normal yet, but my stitches are so itchy - is this normal or could i have an infection? I don't know what stitches are meant to be like as i've never had them before! Any advice would be really really helpful!!
